just as white people should be anti-racism for no benefit, and cis people should be pro-trans for no benefit. the only "benefit" that should be required is the creation of a more just world, not because you, personally, actually do get something out of it.

if we can acknowledge that rape is not just an individual act but a systemic culture around the removal of consent and control over who gets access and control of your body in sexual situations, then we need to acknowledge that terfism as an ideology is basically entirely based around these white middle class women creating parameters around which kind of people it is acceptable to assault the bodies of. they're not stupid. they know the outcome of the policies they suggest is trans women getting sexually assaulted in bathrooms and prisons, in the doctors office, in day to day life. they know that by calling what trans men do to their bodies "mutilation" and their concern over "healthy breasts" they're stating that the sexual desire of rapists to abuse the "female body" comes before human autonomy. they know that forcing detransition is in itself sexual abuse. they knooooow that. they know it. they're not stupid. its the whoooole point. why do you think these people frequently hang around known sexual abusers. they Are sexual abusers.

Somebody at work keeps adjusting one of the perimeter cameras to have this beautiful artistic angle on the museum in a historical building across the way. The sun sets just behind it and the whole sky turns golden-blue, clouds streaked across the sky above. The lush tree line beneath the museum is perfectly lined up along the rule of thirds and the building itself towers above, almost mythical in its evening glory.
