Just to be clear here, if you are TME and you are fantasizing about being TMA because we're "so transgressive", stop that line of thought. TMA folks die for those transgressions, and even those of us who don't die of it are punished to the point of extreme trauma for it. You can fantasize about it because you can, from outside, view the benefits of transgression without experiencing the negative consequences of it. It is EXTREMELY offensive to be painted as "so lucky" for something which has left me afraid to exist freely. It's like if you saw me complaining about my disability and said "Wow, you're so lucky that you have a disability, I'd love for people to fawn over me!", not only are you ignoring the massive negatives, but you're assuming a positive that doesnt really exist. You are fundamentally misunderstanding how intersectionality works in your tags. Trans men experience transphobia for being trans. Not for being men. The axis of oppression that trans women face for being women is distinct from the axis of oppression that trans women face for being trans. They are two unrelated axes of oppression that intersect. You are trying to say that there is an intersection of oppression where you are oppressed for being men, and you are oppressed for being trans. The point of transfeminism and transmisogyny is recognizing that these two distinct axes of oppression combine to become something *more* oppressive than the sum of their parts. Trans men experience transphobia. Trans men fundamentally cannot experience misandry because misandry doesn't exist. There is no systemic oppression of men for being men, in the same way that there is no systematic oppression of white people for being white. The point is that trying to coin transandrophobia is an attempt to *equate* the experience of trans men to that of trans women, and say that we are all oppressed equally and in different ways. That's no correct. Trans women experience more severe oppression and violence than trans men do. That is not to say that trans men don't experience violence, but that trans women experience *more* violence, and more *severe* violence, as basically every study has ever shown. Transmisogyny as a concept exists to specifically analyze the systemic intersection of transphobia and misogyny. There is no intersection between transphobia and misandry because misandry doesn't systemically exist. Yes, you are men. Yes, you experience transphobia for transitioning. Yes, you transitioned because you're a man. No, you don't experience misandry for being men. You experience transphobia for being trans. Transmisogyny is not just "The transphobia that women experience." It is a specific intersection of two unrelated forms of systemic, hierarchical oppression that mix together like a big oppression stew. You need to go back and reread Crenshaw if you're accusing transfeminists of misunderstanding intersectionality. Because you're argument is essentially the same as a black man telling a black woman that they both experience equal oppression, and that his is for being a black man, and hers is for being a black woman, and that he gets his own intersection of oppression because he... Experiences racism... And? Misandry? Which doesn't exist... Which, surprise surprise, was the entire thing that Crenshaw was trying to show: Black women face more extreme forms of oppression than black men due to the intersection of racism and misogyny, which combine to become something *more* oppressive than the sum of their parts. It's not just racism + misogyny. It is racism and misogyny turning into something *more* oppressive than racism and misogyny experienced separately at the same time. Likewise, trans women face more extreme forms of oppression than trans men due to the intersection of transphobia and misogyny. And trans women of color experience more extreme forms of oppression than white trans women, due to the intersection of transphobia, misogyny, and racism. But this all assumes that you're even arguing in good faith.
