we need to hang on to things that mark the passage of time or we will collectively go crazy i'm not even joking

we need to buy seasonal vegetables for our table we need to decorate for our chosen holidays we need to engage with a weekly show we need to have semi-regular meal times we need to write down friends' birthdays and have movie night and attend fairs we need to change the flowers on our balcony with plants that can survive the cold and get soil under our fingernails we need to be able to plan and wait and anticipate and find comfort and joy in things leaving but returning we need RITUALS to survive

I do not understand why Taylor Swift haters delight in telling their friends who are fans that she sucks or that she’s mid. You’re not a good friend. Remove Taylor from the equation and you’re just insulting your friend’s interest like???

favorite part of the human experience is when you have a wonderful night out with people you know you will never be with again in the same way and you're so full of love because it's all so temporary and fleeting

i have such discourse fatigue like hey man can we just chill. can we just have a laff. have a kiki. can we just enjoy music and tv shows and movies without arguing and getting mad having a talking point about every little thing

like i’m all for intellectual dissections of media and everything but it gets to a point where you are saying stuff just to say it and getting mad at stuff just to seem smarter than others
