MLP × Beyond two souls AU
I know no one asked for this or wanted it, but after playing Beyond Two Souls, I really liked the dynamic between the living being and the spirit. Plus, I saw Discord in Aiden's protective nature, so this AU was born.
And yes, it's been a while since I last drew a background, so don't be harsh. 🫠
So, in this AU, Fluttershy's soul is connected to the ancient spirit Discord, whose body is still in the statue. This happened at the moment when Fluttershy was falling before receiving her cutie mark. But instead of butterflies, she was saved by an invisible spirit. Due to a large surge of magic (Rainboom), he could no longer cut himself from her soul and got stuck next to her. And Fluttershy had the gift of talking not only to animals, but also to spirits. Over time, they got used to each other and Discord even began to listen to her sometimes.
And so, an important clarification - Discord's spiritual form (as in the art) can only be seen by Fluttershy, for everyone else he is an invisible ghost, which, like Aiden, can affect the physical world.
Discord did something similar in the series, in the series where Starlight Glimmer kicked his physical body out of school, and he began to take revenge in the form of a ghost.
In the art, Discord shows his protective and wild nature, protecting Fluttershy from danger.
Also, in this AU, Celestia has learned about this anomalous case of soul merging and keeps a close eye on Fluttershy, fearing a fall from an uncontrolled spirit. Twilight has also become interested in this and studies this anomaly, as Fluttershy does not keep her connection with Discord a secret from her friends.
