Do you know of any writing software that doesn't use ai or track your documents? preferably one that is free or a one time payment. I want to write a book and am really stressed out.
When it comes to book writing, I highly recommend Scrivener! It has a pretty generous free trial and is also a one time payment, plus often goes on sale or has coupons available for discounts. It has a bit of a learning curve and can be a bit overwhelming at first, but is super helpful.
Beyond that, if you want something definitively free, then uhhhhhhh did you know you can just download Microsoft Office 2007 from Internet Archive and just use an old version of Word from before the subscription tiers and AI integration and it does basically anything you could need a basic writing software to do

So many other RPGs are constantly reinventing the wheel in a way that makes me feel like I have to study and educate myself for a brand new system each time when what I want is to just experience an easy to learn but difficult to master turn based system

I love the pacing of Resident Evil games. Thereās something so fun about having to learn the layout of a location and how to manage your resources effectively, and I love how it means early runs are tense as hell and later runs allow you to rush and route effectively. Itās so satisfying
