the horrible, horrible desynch between their words and the movements of the hand 

lack of any clear place the hand is looking 

“dwells in the depths”. just the whole sentence itself and the weird inflection on it.

the fact that the dude clearly already discovered this thing and was so moved by it they went to record it 

“wuoah”, and the split second of open-palmed hand that no longer resembles a puppet 

the weird fade in on the music and the fact it sounds a little distorted at first 

the very specific but undefinable emotion conveyed by the music 

Since I still see people freaking out about the pictures posted on Voltron’s social media, here is everything compiled. Ya know, for funzies. 

The three pictures posted, in order from first to most recent, are an umbrella with rain, coffee, and an emerald (the three pics above). The most obvious explanation is that these three pictures are leading up to something happening at an event called The Emerald City Comic Con. 

This event is happening in Seattle from March 1-4. Guess what Seattle is also known as? 

Yep, besides the emerald city, it’s also known as the rain city and the coffee capital of the world. What a crazy coincidence, huh? 

While the Voltron twitter is arguably known to hype up comic cons where their voice actors will be attending, nothing has ever been this “secretive” or indirect. As of now, the only voice actor from Voltron that will be attending is Jeremy Shada (Lance’s voice actor).

He will be in three different panels at the convention (the three above), and these are not including his seven autographing options. However, at comic cons, a single voice actor isn’t normally given their own stage or spotlight, although, yes, it does still happen. At this convention though, he has a full hour on a stage by himself. 

Since the Voltron twitter is hyping up this one event, we can only assume it has way more importance than a simple comic con event where an actor shows up and talks for a little bit and leaves. Regardless of whether Jeremy has his own panel or not, we can all agree this is more important than one person. The Voltron twitter isn’t the only one to bring attention to these pictures online, as a lot of the Voltron voice actors have interacted with these pictures without truly giving anything away, thus maintaining the aura of secrecy. 

Lotor’s voice actor, Zarkon’s voice actor, and Shiro’s voice actor (respectively) all quoted these tweets, simply to bring attention to them. This isn’t even including Josh Keaton retweeting the pictures and Josh and Jeremy interacting with the pictures on Voltron’s instagram. Now, why would they do this unless to showcase the true and utter “what the fuck?” reactions we are supposed to get before we piece all the pictures together?

She was hideously injured by hideous irresponsibility, it was an absolutely legitimate lawsuit and the warning on the cups basically allows McDonalds to claim no responsibility even if it happens again. Every other company followed suit to cover their asses.

obligatory mention that the media smear campaign to twist teh facts on this case and get public opinion against the victim was deliberate and fueled by the right wing tort reform movement

it was seized upon to limit the rights of consumers to hold giant corporations accountable for wrongdoing

She was uninsured and sued McDonald’s Restaurants for the cost of her past and projected future medical care, an estimated $20,000. The corporation offered a settlement of $800, a number so obviously ridiculous that I’m not even going to dignify it with any further explanation.

The settlement number most often quoted is not the amount that the corporation actually paid; the jury in the first trial suggested a payment equal to a day or two of coffee revenues for McDonald’s, which at the time totaled more than $1 million per diem. The judge reduced the required payout to around $640,000 in both compensatory and punitive damages, and the case was later settled out of court for less than $600,000.

Keep in mind that at the time, McDonald’s already had over 700 cases of complaints about coffee-related burns on file, but continued to sell coffee heated to nearly 200 degrees Fahrenheit (around 90 degrees Celsius) as a means of boosting sales (their selling point was that one could buy the coffee, drive to a second location such as work or home, and still have a piping hot beverage). This in spite of the fact that most restaurants serve coffee between 140 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit (60 to 71 degrees Celsius), and many coffee experts agree that such high temperatures are desirable only during the brewing process itself.
