Here on the North Coast, those of us who are fortunate enough to be homeowners have until August 13 to pay those property taxes.

This is someone I've interacted with online a few times in the past. It seems like she's really been put through the wringer. With everything else she's got going on, I don't want her to be at risk for losing her house too.

And now I'm worried sick on her behalf, because it appears that her donations have dropped off.

I painstakingly pieced together the transcript of this comic over several months, from a box of disjointed notes left by a blind man. No, I'm kidding. Thie one won't make sense if you haven't read House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. Honestly, it might not make much sense if you have! Besides the "creative" page layouts, the book has not one but two unreliable narrators, both of whom love to go off on tangents. It's not a book for the faint of heart. (Or the short of attention span!) I highly recommend it.

Just for the record, this is by far the biggest action sequence I've ever tried to draw! (My style of drawing assembling comic panels does not lend itself well to action sequences.)

Whoa. Been a while, hasn't it? Let's crank this puppy up again.

I'll have to admit that the whole "I'll build up my buffer while the comic is on hiatus" thing didn't work as well as I thought it would. I do have a buffer, it's just a little on the slim side.

It's been a while, but I'm pushing myself to get this thing up and running this spring.
