you know what trope pisses me off the most? when the protag is pointing a gun at somebody and they’re like “you won’t do it. you’re too good” and the person holding the gun is like oh shit i am and they slowly lower the gun while the other person laughs. The dichotomy between ocs is so funny. Sometimes you're coaxing them out of the recesses of your mind like "pspspsps here sweetie dont be shy why don't you come tell me more about yourself" and sometimes its like there's a guy in here with you and he's punching the walls

My fav whaling logbook phenomenon is when their keeper opts NOT to use whale stamps and instead hand-draws very ornate whales to indicate when he sees them, but then as time goes on the whales get progressively shittier looking because that’s too much work. I know how it feels to get locked into an artistic bit later regretted, man.

I’m talking Arthur, Cyberchase, Ruff With Ruff Ruffman, Read Between the Lions, Sesame Street, Clifford, Dragon Tales, Martha Speaks, Maya and Miguel, Word Girl, Zoboomafoo, Sagwa, Mr. Rogers, Reading Rainbow, Zoom, Bob the Builder, Boobah (ngl don’t know why I liked that one so much), Postcards From Buster, Caillou (which I recognize now is actually terrible but I loved it as a kid), Curious George, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, The Berenstain Bears, Thomas, It’s a Big Big World, Noddy. And don’t even get me STARTED on the website! Those games were FIRE! and I was learning something?! I played on the PBS Kids Go website well into middle school, past when I stopped regularly watching the shows.
