Be a lover

At the end of the day that person is a person whose gift to you is their art, not themselves. If you can’t take no for an answer, if you can’t be content with consuming what is meant to be consumed, if you still willingly post a video of them asking you not to, if you’ll sacrifice their safety and your own for proof — whether it’s for yourself, for your friends, for the internet — take a long, hard look at why.

Ask yourself: is that real, honest to god love? Is that how I want him to remember me? Because guess what, guys. That man fucking remembers. That memory is a vault, and in that moment, he doesn’t see love. He doesn’t see adoration. He sees someone willing to cross his boundaries, someone willing to risk his safety as well as others’ to get what they want.

In other words, he sees a threat.

And yes, I mean this as a PSA for everyone, on every continent, at any time, in any part of the world. This is to every fucking person who has ever felt entitled enough to throw decorum and self-respect out the window for a chance to post video proof of you blatantly disrespecting his wishes. And they are present every-fucking-where from every part of the world from every walk of life.
