TAMOANCHAN.  is a mythical location of origin known to the Mesoamerican cultures of the central Mexican region in the Late Postclassic period. The toponymic glyph used for Tamoanchan in the codices depicts a cleft tree, flowering and emitting blood; the significance of these motifs is uncertain. (x in spanish)

The son of sky god Svarog, brother to fire god Svarozhich, Dazhbog is god of the sun, happiness, destiny, and justice. He gradually superseded his father as the supreme deity in the Russian pantheon.The giver of warmth and light, he was much revered by the early Russians because much of Russia is covered by snow and ice most of the year and the winter nights are unendurably long.The disappearance of Dazhbog was always greeted with dismay, and occurrences such as eclipses, when Dazhbog was said to have been devoured by wolves,were taken as forewarnings of terrible times to come—of plague, famine, or war.

The identity - indeed even the name - of Da Derga is unclear. Some texts give him as Ûa Dergae, “the nephew of the red goddess,” while others call him Da Derga, “the red god.” If the former is correct, he could be related to MEDB or Flaith, goddess of SOVEREIGNTY, a reasionable enugh connection given that [Da Derga’s] story’s main point is the punishment of [Conaire] for not maintaining his sacred vows as the earth goddess demanded. If the latter, he may have been a god of the OTHERWORLD, for the color RED is comonly linked to that realm. Da Derga has virtually no personality and little role in the story named for him. 

the scope of sloth is wide. spiritually, acedia first referred to an affliction attending religious persons, especially monks, wherein they became indifferent to their duties and obligations to god. mentally, sloth has a number of distinctive components of which the most important is affectlessness, a lack of any feeling about self or other, a mind-state that gives rise to boredom, rancor, apathy, and a passive inert or sluggish mentation. physically, acedia is fundamentally associated with a cessation of motion and an indifference to work; it finds expression in laziness, idleness, and indolence.

Goddess of ploughing and fertility in Norse mythology

Orpheus was the son of Thracian King Oeagrus and the Muse Calliope, and was known as the father of songs for his talent with music. So beautiful was his music that it could drown out the hypnotic songs of sirens and could charm even stones. He fell in love with the nymph, Eurydice, who died when she was chased by a Satyr. In an attempt to bring her back to life, Orpheus traveled to the Underworld, where his songs mesmerized even Hades, the King of the Dead. He promised that he would allow Eurydice to return to life, but only if he could travel out of the Underworld without looking back at her. Orpheus did this, but forgot that both he and Eurodyce had to be out; so the moment they stepped out, he looked back at her, and she disappeared, this time forever. At the end of his life, Orpheus disdained worship of all gods except for the sun - Apollo - and was ripped to shred by the Thracian Maenads for not honoring his patron god.

The Mwindo Epic is an oral epic story told by the Nyanga people from the Congo. Mwindo is the son of the evil chief Shemwindo and his seventh wife, Nyamwindo. He is born from his mother’s middle finger and he wields a conga-scepter, an azde-axe, and a bag belonging to the fortune goddess, Kahonbo, that contains a long rope. Fleeing his father’s attempts to kill him, Mwindo hides inside a drum and begins his epic journeys across rivers, villages and to the Underworld. After his return to the place of his birth, Tubondo, he helps rebuild the city, and rules as a wise and powerful king.

Haliya!🌕🐉🗡️ The masked goddess of moonlight, the archenemy of the Bakunawa dragon. In some legends she was the sole survivor of the dragon consuming her siblings, the other six moons. In some, she was one out of three survivors. In another, she was the protector of her brother Bulan, from the wrath of a romantically rejected Bakunawa. After the death of her siblings, she forged a golden mask to hide her beauty and mourning, and swore to be the archenemy of Bakunawa.

The father puts the two would-be brides to a test of walking on knives in the fire; the other woman refuses and instead starves herself to death, allowing Jacheongbi to become his goddess.
