shoutout to the fans who've always known that vidders who vidded AMAZING crossover ships have always existed, and that they all did it without AI software - just good old shipper goggles and badass editing.
like there used to be a time when shipping crossover ships were just as normal as shipping in-fandom ships, and tbh i don't know why that died out on both tumblr and youtube. things used to be so fun because we knew it was absurd, but we had our reasons for loving it anyway. and the fanworks showed it.
like yeah, superwholock was cringe as hell, but the fanworks were amazing.
so yeah, we've always been here. fanartists capable of doing these things have always been here. so enjoy it while it (the resurgence? the revival?) lasts <3
