honestly,

feel everything that made you love them at first. all the shit that makes you miss them. appreciate the good parts. and then realize that none of that warrants you having to feel the pain of wanting them back again. try to feel those things about yourself. realize you can give the same kind of joy that your ex gave you. try to see the light in yourself. do things you love. do things you’ve never done before. pour yourself into a project. neglect a project if you need to. be alone and love it. come to a point where you no longer feel those craving pangs for their affection. acknowledge that you are whole, you always were whole, and you will be whole in the end. then think about how strong you are for going through everything you did.
