aph-tired until may 2022 > tried if i already had mister-ddr, inspired in aph-/hws- urls. only "lurked" for most of the year, until i decided to make some own posts (and write fanfics). feb 2023, changed it for a last time to goldammerchen (little yellowhammer).
favorite or most used time period: post-war/cold war and the after, stopping 10-20 years ago for my sanity. but! my main focus is on characters rather than in mega exact historical accuracy: loosely historical, low fantasy, and meta.
rbed stuff has almost no tags! (sorry), i tag ships more than individuals.

This felt like the third or the fourth hardest thing Vash had ever done—and he had experienced tragedy and war in his centuries of life. It wouldn't be so hard for him if he hadn't denied himself the wonders of love until the present day. Besides refusing to have a family until not that long ago, he buried and denied his feelings with more commitment than religious men did, all because that wasn't the life for somebody like him, and because his heart couldn't be broken if he never exposed it to the risk.
…And here he was, box of chocolates and red roses in each hand, dying of embarrassment. Existing was embarrassing, and he was bad at it.
Head low, Vash knocked a door, expecting to wait for several minutes before it opened. Instead, the door was opened almost right away, but this allowed Vash to shove the box and the flowers to the brunette man he glimpsed from under his hair, and to leave the same way he arrived.
He did it, he completed his task… This was the most he could do, so he ignored Roderich demanding him to turn around and face him. They would see each other next meeting, and by that time Rode couldn't be as angry as he was now, if he forgave him of course.
What was important was that he tried, Vash thought, a thought that would be uncharacteristic of him if wasn't related to these matters, before a hand grabbed his wrist and stopped him.
"Vash," said Roderich with severity. "Come back for a coffee."
Without letting him go, Roderich turned around to walk in front of Vash, who kept his head low, partially in an effort to hide his flushed face.
Roderich pushed some of Vash's hair behind his ear. "Thank you. Please come with me…"
Vash cleared his throat. "A-aright, but we don't have to walk holding hands."

The first rule of fandom is have fun. The second rule of fandom is find an enabler and become an enabler. Yes you should write that fic. What if it was even hornier? What if it was angstier? What if you wrote it just for me?
Contemporary Gil having to kill again in self-defense. He feels like shit and empty afterwards, knowing he will have a panic attack at some point later. Not only he now has to actually worry about mortal danger, this demonstrates that he can't have a quiet life after all. It is like he never ever retired... Looked hot though, and still looks hot all shocked...
