Whats a little bit weird about this to me is, i get being inspired and wanting to write your ideas about what could happen next, but you aren't the author. You dont have their vision or their plans or their perspecive. Continuing someone elses fic won't be the same as their actual intended developments. And conspiring to write off the author in favour of your impatience is not going to encourage them to come back any time soon

I am not personally super into like. metaphors of referring to a character as another character's dog. however I would be really intrigued if someone used another animal. "call off your dog": trite, passé, probably reductive. "call off your cat": fresh, intriguing, makes me wonder what specific feline quality the character possesses. "call off your lionfish" well I am absolutely baffled but I am seated.
