I like this song but this is the first song I've had to deem 'too boring' to chart 😭 I'm sorry Greer... but multiple full measures of nothing but bass and drums playing eighth notes will not be very fun to play in a rhythm game....

#going to try Miracle Fighting Red Baron instead #there are some other songs that I don't think will make great taiko tracks on second thought #There/their/therapy is an awesome crazy math rock song but there's also a long stretch that's basically just an ambient track...#probably won't be super fun to play #Bandcamp

Tried charting a wrens song

I saw a comment from a now disgraced taiko charter that American songs are harder to chart because our musicians are less likely to use a metronome. IDK how true that is, some of the songs I've done are definitely using a metronome, but it is most certainly true for the Wrens. It doesn't matter how many times I move the notes it's not going on beat because Whelan is not playing his bass on beat. They are just too loosey goosey. The easy and normal charts are alright but the hard chart sucks so bad and I don't know if there's any way to make it unsuck without going back and trying to brute force the bpm changes that are going to the millionth of decimal points.

#that being said they are my favorite band and I'm sad I probably won't be able to chart much if any of them #I asked my parents if they used a metronome while recording and they said 'who the hell uses a metronome?'#also I always assumed they have those fuck ass covers in rhythm games because they can't get the rights to the original recording #but maybe it's also to rerecord them to a stricter bpm?
