The trickiest part of it all, is not affirming or doing mental backflips, not reading a thousand books, not eating a specific way, not dying & begging for it.

But surrender.

Detachment.

Complete detachment and surrender is the key. Lose yourself in the joys and throes of having your desire. See it as something not apart of you. As something coming out of you. Because it is.

Everything comes out if you.

You might’ve understood this as an intellectual concept, filed it away to “use” it later (notice how your mind registers it as a method, still.)

Let it be. Let it go. Don’t engage and don’t worry, nothing at all will come and harm you. Nothing at all, even if you overthink it. A decision is all it takes. Sometimes you apply for a course and then you spiral, but does it take back the application? No. It’s already done. Even if you spiral a couple of times. You didn’t go there and you didn’t take back the application.

You let it be.

Do not dwell on such feelings or even matters, none of them matter at all. Simply watch them come and go. Relax yourself, relax every muscle in your body, know you are awareness. Know. You are not the body.

Let it go, let yourself go, let all the doubts and fears go. It’s not even yours, it’s the body’s. Even the desires. They come with the body.

If you were another person, say you are a college student, your focus is having fun and building a life for yourself, right? If you were another person, say a high school student, wouldn’t your desires change? To pass high school first?

But if II return to the college student, that student has already passed high school and is in college, so why would said student worry about passing it if it’s already done?

See? It’s all a choice of identity. It’s all a choice of the body, not the “I AM”.

And as we all know by now, reality is not fixed. It’s not a body, it’s coming out of you, and you are awareness. You change it as you’d like. You pick a new identity by dropping the one before, and you become that person. Right now. This moment. Awareness.

The world is at your feet, you are the axis of your entire reality. Without you nothing exists—from your awareness rises consciousness. Rises everything from formless to form. The entire fabric of reality is woven by your gentle hands—it cannot form itself without you.

Nothing you see is real, and nothing you seem is threatening. You took the self to be the body for too long that you’d forgotten that the body isn’t you. It’s a choice; it’s a dress up game.

Not your circumstances, your desires, fears, insecurities.. it’s all the body’s. The self does not desire nor does it fret. It doesn’t wish. it is.

When thoughts arise, let them. They come from where? Your mind. Where’s your mind? Your body. So don’t pay it any mind. Don’t pay it attention, don’t fight and whine and cry. Just let it do it’s job; analyze, logic-it’s-way-out, understand, seek patterns. Let it.

At the end of it is quietness. This peaceful surrender. This serenity. At the end of it—you feel the last layer which beneath rests the true treasure—Self.

The quiet, the knowing, the endless never-dying never-reborn awareness. Still and quiet. Desireless and fearless. Your true form away from the noise of a world created by you to distract you, to engross you in its illusions—it is it’s purpose—convincing. Convincing you that you are not self but identity. Something easily changed and fluctuates with less than a blink.

Less than a heartbeat, a breathe. A decision.

If your mind fights; let it. Don’t grapple, don’t hurt, don’t yell, scream or shout back at it, let it melt quietly..and witness how all identity dissolves. How all masks are off.

And this is when you know.
