Something ive noticed far too much with Instagram meme accounts that feel so violating is the bait-and-switch ones. For example, I followed a meme account and after this certain account got tons of follows (likely alot of minors aswell which makes me really unwell to think about the ones exposed) they completely changed their profile overnight into adult content after they got a massive following for their previous content. I really hate this alot and I feel like it needs to be acknowledged a bit more. Its not even about the 'adult content' its about the consensual aspect of it. Sure im an adult, if I wanted to Im going to go find adult content but I dont want to be JUMPSCARED with it on FAMILY ACCOUNT that my entire family has access to see who I'm following, its frankly disgusting. If youve experienced this I'd love to have a discussion on it with someone who's seen the same things.
