Vettel is a Xaku proto right? Does anything happen to his body when he uses The Vast Untime? Since Xaku's outer parts explode away from them as shrapnel, like shedding their skin.
I always think a Xaku proto of some kind has wonderful potential for body horror with that ability! So I'm curious if you've spun any ideas :]
Ohohoho i've thought about this so much-
I haven't drawn it yet, but Vettel has some outer parts as well! All of them were armor pieces from his original armor set he was wearing when he got exploded (literal shrapnel!)
He's got a pauldron piece on his void arm, a hip guard lookin thing based on the dex armor, and a few other small parts like a knee, arm and shin guard.
(warning here for descriptions of injuries, bones, and how he got his void bits)
I imagine he doesn't wear them often, since he's more used to fighting normally. (and he may not enjoy exploding, due to that being what killed him in the first place-)
When he does use The Vast Untime ability, he looks mostly the same, aside from all of his void bits.
His arm, hip, and part of his leg- if they weren't wrapped in void energy- all have visible bones protruding outwards. So when using that ability, you'd be able to see all his bones in that area!
AND those void bits are there because of the ✨️unique✨️ way he was removed from the helminth regeneration pod.
He wasn't quite done cooking yet, so he was still very much attached to it and not yet concious. So when the scaldra found it and tried to remove him from it, they had to get a little creative with cutting him out of the pod. Leading to him using his void powers to wrap the damaged parts with energy to stop him from bleeding out
Lettie later had to amputate his (real) left arm because of how bad it was damaged. So he fully has no arm on that side.
I've put alot of thought into this, I love being crazy :)

With the introduction of the new armor set in the nightwave, I've been thinking about about an armored design for my drifter!
Because of the Greek and Roman inspiration for the outfits of the orokin and the obvious storytale themes- I've been looking really hard at Samnite gladiator armor!
The helmet looks very similar to the new armor, and I think their fighting tactics would fit well with the guard/knight role I've given to vettel.
Since I don't think he would have wanted to be a king in duviri, and would have leaned towards being a knight :D
So I've been playing around with a duviri armor design for him based around that!
-And here we see a pack of Proto drifters in their natural habitat, a small balcony on the roof of the mall.
They are known to form small groups when stressed to facilitate their necessary social needs. This one here participates in the ever common, stress smoking! Truly magnificent creatures~!

For those of you with android devices, you can use the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) standalone app control program to get rid of all the bloatware, data mining, and AI crap - no coding needed!
There are also Android-based alternatives like GrapheneOS and LineageOS, which are pretty easy to install. These are unfortunately available for a more limited range of devices (Graphene is ironically Pixel only, while Lineage supports more), but it's very worth checking out whether one of them might work for your phone.

Typing this from Graphene now, in fact. But, both of those take the Android Open Source Project, without all the bloatware--and largely de-Google the whole thing. They give you much more control over privacy and what the apps you choose to install can do and access on your phone.
I know Graphene sandboxes everything, including the optionally installed Google Play Services which a lot of apps unfortunately require to run. (Lineage uses an alternative to Play Services instead.) So, you can install what would normally be unacceptably intrusive apps and just lock them away from pulling any funny shit with your data, or phoning home. Including the couple of Google things I do still keep around.
I also prefer running much more transparent, privacy-respecting open source apps where possible. Besides the transparency, I'd rather avoid the shitty tech corps entirely where I can. There are pretty good alternatives available for a lot of the usual suspects.

I've been developing him more and I've decided that I wanted his feral behavior to reflect onto his design in a more pysical way.
So now he's got them conceptual embodiment mutations.
His specific void mutations came about the first time he used the Dark Refractory because i'm evil and gave him a fear of water.
Leading him to very much not being okay with the Refractory and those big feelings manifested and gave him the ability to move through water freely.
So he's got gills, an extra pair of clear eyelids, and webbed hands and feet. All of them take inspiration from traloks because I like those funky little shark guys.
Well now I'm insane. So the idea is A Orokin Derelict used to "redeem" Ballas' failures with the warframes. To "fix" the warframe serum but the orokin in charge was uh.. Well not Entrati. Subjects died or were completely consumed and unusable. Thus the project was sent adrift but not abandoned. Experiments did survive but not like.. Well.
Mister rescue is one of the last more sane ones but who knows how long that will last.
