I may need some help!
This isn't urgent; it may not be until November. However, come that month, I may be in trouble. I have done a little financial planning today and I don't think I'll have enough for my rent and bills that month. I moved recently out of my mom's house and into an apartment with my sister, this isn't our first time paying rent but it is our first time paying as much for rent as we are now, it's a pretty penny. My job doesn't pay very much, either. I do receive food benefits and student aid but that only covers so much. If you would like to donate, you can the following ways:
Go to paypal.me/erikawc and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
Venmo - @Erika-Warne-Coles
Cashapp -$ErikaWarneColes
If you would prefer to receive something in exchange for money, I'm also available for commission! I'm an illustrator, so you could have me draw most anything. And if you can't afford to do either, sharing this post still helps. Thank you!
Another update! The short version of last update was that where my sister and I work was about to close and we probably wouldn't be able to afford rent in April. I wasn't, but, good news, my sister was. She's paid more than her normal share of rent at least three times now, each time she has had to dip into an inheritance she's received from a family member. That inheritance is rapidly dwindling though, and I already feel bad about having her use that money to bail us out, so I really don't want to ask her again. I'll cut to the chase: for May, I need at least $900.
$0/$900 This number is based on getting our last paycheck (which we didn't get this month, which is why I couldn't afford rent) before May 5th. I don't know for sure if we will. If we don't, I'll probably need at least $2000. Hopefully it won't come to that. Before May, I may get a new job and/or get a tax return, in which case I'll update this again. But I don't know for sure about either of those, and even if I do I doubt I'll get enough to fully pay for rent, power, and internet for May. Thank you to everyone who's shared, donated, or commissioned so far! Sorry to post about this again.
I neglected to update this earlier this month, very sorry about that.
I was actually able to afford rent in May, primarily because I got my tax return earlier than expected! Unfortunately, I won't be able to afford next month's rent/power/utilities without assistance, and the amount that I need now is higher than what I asked for last time. My sister might be able to cover it but I really don't want to ask her again. I am still working on getting a new job, but it's really doubtful that I'll get one and get paid before 6/5, and even if I do it probably wouldn't be enough. For June, I need at least $1600.
$0/$1600 Sorry again. Hopefully soon I won't have to keep updating this. Thank you all again.
A couple people donated, thank you! $80/$1600
I'll be able to afford June's rent thanks to my sister. However, I'm not sure about power/internet. I'll only be able to afford them if I don't spend anything, basically.
Also, my sister has completely exhausted her inheritance. We are essentially broke.
I have been applying for jobs, but I've only managed to secure one interview so far, and it's for a position that wouldn't start until mid-June and doesn't have reliable hours. It seems like what's probably going to happen is that we will have to move back in with our mom. However, her place is not set up to house us yet, and I'm not sure if it ever will be. If we move back in with her, we will probably have to stay in the living room, meaning we won't have privacy or uninterrupted sleep.
Worst case scenario is we can't move back in with her at all, meaning that we will be homeless come 7/5.
We really, really, really need help. As much as you can possibly give, and if you can't give any, SHARE THIS POST WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN.
If you want a goal: in case I don't get a job by mid-June, I need $2000 by 7/5.
$0/$2000 Thank you for reading.
One very generous person sent me $500, thank you!
