Like I know many are trying to cope about this wedding. I get it. And honestly a bit of self delusion is comforting. I will forever think she’s Bi. Why all the rainbow waving if she’s not? I even suspect Mr. T is a little fruity. But after a forward facing public wedding I’ll be less willing to stay and check up every day waiting, nay, hoping for an outing. In reality, EVEN IF a person is willing to engage in a “lavender marriage” it’s still a real act, an actual ceremony. That person is willing to show they’re capable of going through it and be known to the public as married. Is it a cover for a private life? YEAH. I can believe that. Is it a protective status? Definitely if you’re playing through the scope of some realm of paranoia. But it will also be a harder time convincing anyone outside this bubble of anything on the contrary. It will literally have to come from the horses’s mouth (her own of course) to convince the public otherwise. Unfortunately for us in the bubble we’ve been convinced and self-affirmed of this parallel possibility that is totally reasonable to presume there’s some truth to this. Trust me that I’ve worked around and heard enough about celebrities only 1 degree of separation from who told me things about such celebrities to know public life doesn’t always reflect private lives. And most people do this without being famous. So all that to say my understanding of this wedding situation will have me respectfully interacting less frequently with any new “narratives” trying to justify a “pivot” and to give this more time to play out. Nope I’m done. Nearly 10 years (plus if I really try hard) is a weirdly long time of this habit of mine (2017 OG Gaylor). I’ll peek through occasionally but it won’t matter what new “evidence”, emojis, riddles or even pianos falling out of the sky will convince me if it’s not publicly being confessed from her own lips.
