Scrooge specifically. I love when they focus in on his anxious and crushie attitude towards Goldie, and throwing them into youth when they were likely the closest is such a good way to do that. I know I try to talk about Goldie on this blog mainly, but I fucking adore Scrooge, he’s a blorbo of mine I can’t help it. I would’ve loved another time travel episode where these two actually go back in time to when they first met—or were getting to know each other, I need more of this young Scrooge, he’s so itty.

And anyways, some other details I noticed.

At some point after they fell in the river, Goldie tied her shirt up and Scrooge also adjusted his clothes, likely because getting younger also meant shrinking and oversized clothes can be annoying when running and jumping, and risk getting caught on something.

Scrooge being flustered and then eating shit. Goldie also says, quote: “young Scrooge still falling for the same old tricks” which we do see her mess with him like this a couple times, but a main parallel I think of is in s2e9, The Outlaw Scrooge McDuck.

Goldie: “oh, a fresh start isn’t worth it without you. You crazy old coot.”
