Every era since has had meaning to me. Red tour was the first time I ever traveled to another state (and on my own!) to see an artist. The 1989 era had me trying tumblr and I even managed a Taylor follow and a couple of likes. For the reputation tour I got to experience the swiftie mecca (seeing Taylor perform in Nashville). But the Speak Now era will always mean the most. It’ll always be the catalyst. Due to that, I decided to style my ‘Taylor tattoo’ into something that, to me, made me think of that time. Not only did Taylor use a koi fish designed guitar on the Speak Now b stage, but she also owned koi. If you’d believe it, inside of Taylor’s Nashville apartment, at the base of a spiral staircase leading to a human sized birdcage, in front of a mirrored fireplace, is a pond. It used to be full of koi. (Apparently the cats were afraid of the fish so she got rid of them. You’d think it’d be the other way around.) Due to this, I’ve always related koi fish to Taylor, specifically the Speak Now era. So today, on my 32nd birthday (Innocent says hello) I got this little tribute to Taylor Swift and everything she’s done for me. @taylorswift
