Okay, so I was going to say that the majority was wrong, but not really. The wiki claims that Go! Princess is the only season to incorporate CGI into its attacks (with the exceptions of Halloween Eclair and Grand Libération), so I was going off that, but let’s face it, the performances before each attack in Kimi to Idol count as part of the attack! So I guess this one’s free. Sorry about that, everyone. However, I will say that all the CGI in Go! Princess may have something to do with the fact that this season exists because Frozen was a huge hit in Japan. Because of that, they gave the season a princess motif but with an emphasis on what a princess should embody instead of just being born into it. That’s also why there was a lot of singing and dancing in Haru no Carnival.

Going over to Kimi to Idol, this season was notable for the Cures singing a song before each attack. Unlike everyone else, Idol actually gets a power-up appearence/upgraded attack, even though not that much changes (lame…). She doesn’t even get a new song! Now, with the negativity out of the way…

Correct! Chocolat Revue is not Cure Chocolat’s individual attack! Instead, her attack is Chocolat Aromase. I picked Revue for the fake attack because a lot of Akira’a character is based on the all-female Takarazuka Revue, from her princely-looking Cure form to the staircase she stands on at the end of her transformation. In addition, Yukari’s design as Cure Macaron invokes the more feminine roles, so the two nicely complement each other.

Next up is Go Princess! This season has some gorgeous-looking attacks, and they stand out extra with their use of CGI, which had only really been used for ending sequences up until that point. With the preamble out of the way…
