I finally completed this piece! It took me so many hours but I really spent so much time adding texture - it was really meditative to do the golden armor and accessories. I hoped to capture Twilight Princess Zelda's sternness.

I couldn't be more thrilled about the Ocarina of Time remake releasing this year - I had this piece started before the announcement but love Zelda so much it's only a matter of time before I do another fanart <3

oc Reine - I wanted to do another color version of her with even more details! Definitely need to start brainstorming a backstory for her too since I love drawing her and want her to be a part of my OC's universe

I've definitely envisioned her and Étoile interacting. Over the years, I imagined and depicted Étoile as sweet, soft-spoken, a little silly, and considerate. Instead, Reine is blunt, tomboyish, stubborn, and head-empty most of the times... But she shares a similar naïveté to Étoile, so they explore, are fascinated by, and get into similar types of adventures and mischief ✨

Golden Sunset

oc Lynelle - I actually started this piece before completing June's Rendering Gold tutorial and was definitely feeling extra inspired ✨

Some backstory:

Lynelle hails from the Eastern Elves, who highly value gold. Gold is considered rare and priceless to them because they cannot mine and process it safely where they live. Instead, they've relied on the Northern Elves, who specialized in the Goldcrafting due to their mountainous territory rich with Gold ore.

However, centuries ago the Eastern Elves withdrew from all treaties, trade, and communication with the world, resulting in isolation. All the golden jewelry within the Eastern Elves is therefore passed down for generations. Since gold jewelry prized but rare, Lynelle's princess title is evident when she is decorated with such accessories during social ceremonies and events.
