                   𝒕𝒉𝒆  𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉  𝒘𝒂𝒔  𝒕𝒐𝒐  𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈  for  him  to  disclose  at  first  ,  but  he  didn’t  want  to  seem  like  he  had  any  ill  intentions  for  his  gesture  .  “  i’m  actually  lactose  intolerant  ...  i  know  i  can  only  handle  one  at  once  ,  and  i’m  not  going  back  to  my  place  until  later  so  i  didn’t  want  it  to  just  stay  out  with  me  in  this  heat  .  ”  he  let  out  a  small  chuckle  ,  “  that  was  so  embarrassing  to  admit  for  some  reason  .  ”

                𝒂  𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕  𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒉  𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔  his  cheeks  ,  not  expecting  himself  to  come  off  in  such  a  way  .  sunny  was  a  bit  flustered  ,  and  a  small  chuckle  escaped  his  lips  as  he  played  along  ,  “  yeah  ,  i  was  getting  to  that  .  drinking  strawberry  milk  together  would  be  better  than  alone  ,  y’know  .  ”  he  could  literally  feel  his  brain  malfunctioning  ,  choosing  to  take  a  sip  of  the  drink  to  cover  up  how  taken  aback  he  felt  .  

             𝒉𝒆  𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚  𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕  𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕  to  tell  her  the  truth  ,  not  liking  the  idea  of  confronting  her  .  however  ,  when  he  was  asked  ,  he  felt  some  of  his  frustrations  slip  out  in  a  sigh  .  “  i  just  ...  i  don’t  really  know  ?  what  are  we  ?  you  just  leave  for  weeks  at  a  time  without  giving  me  a  heads-up  and  then  come  back  like  that’s  just  fine  .  i  feel  like  i’m  kind  of  being  played  with  ,  or  rather  ,  my  feelings  are  getting  played  with  .  because  i  do  like  you  a  lot  ,  but  i  just  think  i’m  the  only  one  who  really  feels  that  way  ...  ”  he  takes  a  second  to  compose  himself  ,  “  i  don’t  know  ,  i  just  feel  a  little  frustrated  ..  ”

               𝒕𝒉𝒆  𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆  𝒐𝒇  𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓  relationship  was  getting  him  more  and  more  frustrated  .  honey  was  self  aware  in  his  own  anxiousness  ,  but  didn’t  want  to  drag  hana  into  it  because  she  seemed  happy  .  however  ,  lately  ,  they  weren’t  really  communicating  with  each  other  .  they  didn’t  talk  as  much  as  they  used  to  ,  and  he  didn’t  want  to  seem  clingy  about  it  at  all  either  .  another  thing  was  ,  honey  considered  hana  his  girlfriend  ,  but  they  never  really  put  a  title  on  their  relationship  to  begin  with  .  so  maybe  he  was  reading  into  it  ,  but  he  wasn’t  sure  .  “  i  think  you  might  have  forgotten  to  tell  me  ,  that’s  fine  .  i’m  glad  you  had  fun  ...  ”  he  didn’t  know  what  to  say  next  ,  hoping  she’d  somehow  not  notice  his  down  mood  .

              𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌  𝒐𝒏  𝒊𝒕  𝒏𝒐𝒘  ,  she  was  aware  that  maybe  she  was  being  a  little  overdramatic  .  however  ,  it  still  had  hurt  her  feelings  ,  and  she  didn’t  want  to  be  reasonable  about  it  .  melody  nodded  her  head  ,  “  that’s  totally  what  i’m  saying  !  how  could  they  do  that  to  me  ?  ”  she  loved  it  when  juni  was  willing  to  beat  someone  up  for  her  ,  what  are  friends  for  ,  right  ?  she  grinned  ,  “  next  time  i  see  them  ,  i’ll  tell  you  and  we  totally  should  start  yelling  to  disturb  their  peace  !  make  them  really  regret  it  ,  y’know  ?  ”

                      𝒕𝒉𝒆  𝒄𝒖𝒑𝒄𝒂𝒌𝒆  𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒍  𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕  from  her  hands  onto  the  floor  .  the  utter  shock  on  her  face  could  have  been  seen  as  comical  ,  if  not  for  the  seriousness  of  the  situation  .  she  had  never  ever  been  tardy  like  this  before  ,  and  she  didn’t  know  if  this  meant  she  had  to  make  it  up  somehow  .  “  i’m  sorry  miss  teacher  ,  it  won’t  happen  again  !  you’re  not  going  to  make  me  do  a  billion  push  ups  now  or  something  ,  right  ?  i’m  not  cut  out  for  that  !  ”  she  threw  the  cupcake  out  ,  getting  into  her  assigned  spot  in  the  class  .  she  didn’t  even  know  why  they  all  had  to  do  this  ,  it’s  not  like  any  form  of  special  defense  would  help  her  case  .  she  was  far  too  small  to  do  anything  ,  and  it  felt  like  a  sort  of  waste  to  her  .  

                 𝒂𝒏  𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕  𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒆  𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒘  on  his  face  ,  “  a  picnic  ,  i  love  it  .  ”  he  sits  next  to  soojin  ,  taking  the  other  half  of  the  sandwich  .  “  thanks  ,  ”  placing  the  two  strawberry  milks  in  between  them  ,  giving  room  for  them  to  take  it  whenever  .  “  i  really  like  your  outfit  ,  you  look  so  expensive  ,  are  you  like  a  millionaire  or  something  ?  ”

            𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆  𝒕𝒐  𝒉𝒆𝒓  defense  class  ,  bunny  found  herself  breaking  into  little  jogs  along  the  way  .  almost  entirely  out  of  breath  she  leans  on  a  pole  ,  jumping  off  when  she  realizes  it  was  in  fact  ,  not  a  poll  but  another  demigod  .  “  oh  !  i’m  so  sorry  !  i  totally  invaded  your  space  ,  i’m  ,  ”  she  tries  to  catch  her  breath  ,  “  i’m  just  trying  to  get  to  class  ,  i  wasn’t  looking  where  i  was  going  even  though  i  should  have  !  do  you  want  this  ?  ”  she  reaches  in  her  bag  bringing  out  a  little  cupcake  that  was  wrapped  up  (  and  was  supposed  to  be  her  breakfast  )  ,  “  a  little  sorry  gift  !  wait  ,  you’re  not  the  hero  in  charge  of  today’s  lesson  ,  right  ?  ”

             𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒕𝒐  𝒉𝒆𝒓  𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅  in  distress  ,  melody  dramatically  placed  her  head  in  her  hands  ,  “  juni  they  literally  told  me  to  stop  singing  ,  they  just  said  that  .  how  could  they  say  that  ?  i  was  blessing  their  ears  !  ”  yes  ,  it  had  been  a  library  ,  but  who  wouldn’t  love  some  background  music  ?  now  that  they’re  at  a  café  she  was  free  to  be  as  loud  as  she  wanted  to  be  .  she  took  a  sip  of  her  latte  ,  “  and  on  top  of  that  they  even  said  sh  !  a  whole  hush  !  i  was  really  holding  back  ,  i  could  have  made  their  eardrums  explode  !  ”

                    𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕  𝒉𝒆  𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕  really  defend  himself  well  despite  all  the  training  they  made  him  do  .  everyone  in  nemean  has  to  train  to  at  least  protect  themselves  ,  yet  ,  he  couldn’t  even  do  that  .  so  ,  he  found  himself  trying  to  train  a  little  after  everyone  usually  left  .  cynthia  being  the  only  person  he  usually  sees  up  at  this  time  ,  he  wanted  to  gather  some  courage  to  actually  ask  for  some  help  .  sunwoo  took  some  deep  breaths  ,  honestly  a  little  intimidated  by  her  after  seeing  what  she  could  do  .  “  hey  ,  ”  he  found  his  head  focused  on  the  ground  before  glancing  up  at  her  ,  “  i  was  wondering  if  you  would  help  me  ...  i’ve  been  falling  behind  in  the  basic  defense  classes  and  i  think  if  a  monster  did  just  pop  up  in  front  of  me  i’d  be  toast  in  a  second  .  could  you  teach  me  you  know  ...  how  to  do  this  ,  “  he  punched  the  air  softly  ,  nervous  he  was  bothering  her  .

           𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒔  𝒉𝒆  𝒘𝒂𝒔  𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕  bored  ,  so  the  urge  to  bother  a  sibling  was  strong  .  the  best  target  in  his  antics  was  always  gigi  ,  it  was  fun  teasing  her  .  “  oh  ,  isn’t  it  my  favorite  sibling  !  ”  he  says  enthusiastically  before  taking  it  back  ,  “  wait  ,  it’s  you  ,  ”  he  rolls  his  eyes  jokingly  .  “  wanna  grab  some  ice  cream  ?  ”

             𝒕𝒉𝒆  𝒔𝒐𝒏  𝒐𝒇  𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒆  𝒘𝒂𝒔  a  bit  taken  aback  ,  not  understanding  where  the  accusation  of  poison  was  coming  from  .  “  i  don’t  have  that  ability  ,  but  i  heard  some  of  children  of  achlys  can  make  like  poison  out  of  stuff  .  don’t  tell  me  ...  did  someone  prank  you  like  that  before  ?  ”  sunwoo  brought  out  a  small  straw  and  poked  it  through  his  own  strawberry  milk  ,  taking  a  sip  to  show  his  good  will  .  “  see  ?  i’m  not  poisoned  ,  go  ahead  .  unless  ...  you’re  scared  of  some  milk  .  ”
