Favorite Character

My first thought was Mystery Man!! Mystery imo fits the bill of being a “semi-tragic lore relevant character”, ESPECIALLY during 6th House when he was still considered pretty new to the series! Tri has this thing where he sets up really good ideas for characters and arcs and stuff and then just retconning/fumbling it all, but I think Mystery at first was meant to be a bit more of a morally grey villain?? like definitely still evil for sure but I think there was a bit of a plan to make him more nuanced… idk lmao.

I’ve not going too much into spoilers but I have yapped about Mystery more in other older posts but like… he abandoned his husband and kid, signed his soul to Two-Eyes for uh. Reasons 🏳️‍⚧️. and then was forced by him to go kill the family he left behind. AND LIKE LIKE in the Identity Reveal episode he does make it a point to still call them his family despite everything… straight up going like “if I wanted to kill this family, I would’ve already taken myself out” and talking about how it hurt him to do what he did (and still calling his husband, yknow, HIS husband. no “ex” or anything despite not seeing him in years and ending things with him on bad terms OUGH fuck you Jack you had genuine peak and you fucked it up) BUT LIKE Mystery does kinda get more comedic later on and it’s nice to watch him be the star of every scene he’s in… he’s awesome both lore-wise and just villain-wise especially when compared to other characters in this series lol

Least Favorite Character

Depends on both what counts as a character and how they’re written… in terms of actual relevant OCs who are actually written like characters: Two-Eyes. Said it before and I’ll say it again: he’s the Failwhale of NFH except somehow better and also somehow worse??? Shitty dad, shitty guy in general. Fuck Two-Eyes. As for other characters that just suck, probably just most of the “trendy” characters like Ronald McDonald or Dame Tu Cosita. FUCK DAME TU COSITA literally who asked for him to be here why are there so many videos about him GET YOUR BRAINROT AWAAAAAAY

SAKAWAKA. You give me Sakawaka vibes. Maybe it’s cuz skeletons are kinda your thing, but idk… I have a strange feeling that Saka’s arcs and personality and overall boyfailure energy would just charm you like it did with several other fans (including me!!)

Sakawaka’s a Dry Bones, though something to mention with his species is that he wasn’t born as a Koopa, in the past he was actually an Akawaka, a demonic fire-like being, who was turned into a Dry Bones by another character via magic. Yep, you heard that right, Sakawaka’s a demon! Canonically! His dad is Literally The Devil, Y’know, From The Bible! /ref :]
