the parallels between the doctor and ruby both being foundlings hits me SO HARD. the way they were both abandoned under mysterious circumstances, but while ruby was lovingly adopted by carla and cherry, the doctor was taken by tecteun and ruthlessly experimented on. a part of why he loves ruby so much is because they see so much of themself in her. he cares so deeply about her relationship with her foster family because they wish they could have experienced that themself. it’s all so beautiful 🥺🥺
