I’ve been reflecting on the song, which I believe is written about Taylor’s busy, public and often scrutinised life. And I was thinking how it could also be taken in the context of mental health.

I suffer with anxiety, overthinking and temporary bouts of depression, always have done... it lives in me.

For the last six years my partner has seen every aspect of that and has stuck by me. But there’s been times where I’ve wondered ‘am I enough? Am I too much? Is this going to scare him off? I know I’m a good, kind person, but I’m a lot to handle. Is he better off without me? Why’s he with me when he could be with someone ‘normal’? I love him well but is that enough for him if I can never give him peace?’

Thank you for making a song that resonates so well with me @taylorswift and will forever. I don’t know if you meant to make a song so adaptable to mental health and the effects on relationships, but you did. And you did a perfect job.
