Okay for some context to this whole mess, it all began with when Kirei created a Talisto Chat, it was fairly active and things were going alright, around this time the leader decide to implement a new 7 day time limit on the chats “Any chat that went inactive for 7 days would be disactivated” .
Those in chat thought nothing of it at the time, until a particular week we had all been busy and hadn’t commented anything on the chat, without so much as a warning the leader shut down the chat. Kirei spoke out about it, and the leader brushed it off insisting she couldn’t find the chat, to just get over it and create another. Which Kirei refused that got her a *warning* from the leader for expressing her frustration about said the leader.
Yet when I commented on the appeals chat and another mod got the chat up in less than hour finding it without a problem.
During the months of November and December things grew increasingly hostile between the artist community on the Amino and Mods, they implement an aggressive policy demanding artists to post proof. That’s fine when its new artists but some artists who have been there for years where suddenly harassed by the mods demanding proof despite the fact that they were VERIFIED artists or Artists who have a very particular style and again have been in the Lolirock fandom for years.
Towards the end of December and the start of January. Kirei and myself were harassed by a user for liking Talisto. Repeatedly, we spoke with the mods about this harassment aside from telling us to block the user they did nothing else. Not even a so called warning towards the user. Again we let it go.
This latest attack from the leader and her team was for speaking out about an Auristo Chat created by the leader. They proclaim that “no one is above the rules” and yet when their chats are inactive past the date of their own Rule. They don’t get taken down because they are Mod chats.
The leader keeps her own inactive chat open by commenting on the 6th day a “hi” when no one responds, they keep doing it week after week.
Kirei decided to speak to it to a mod. The mod instantly turned hostile and demand Kirei mind her own business. AS IF THIS WASN’T enough they created another account and accused Kirei of Bullying. The troll account accused her of harassing them on a chat when they had barely joined less than a day ago. Kirei had never spoken to this person but it was all the ammunition the leader needed. Without so much as a warning The leader issue a strike which forces the user to be on -Read Only- mode for 24 hours, they stripped her of her voice in the platform and when Kirei took to instagram to defend herself. The leader of Amino send her a long rant to her about her behavior, in short they spoke down to her for expressing her opinion, for trying to defend herself accusing her of hurting their feelings for making people cry as if her action towards Kirei were justified, They are not.
I ask you this, where was the Leader when we cried? When we were harassed. When we were bullied. When we were told to get over it. To move on.
How are we suppose to feel like Amino is a safe place when we are harassed by the very team that promised to help us. When said team goes on a public chat and talks shit behind someone’s back. When they rip your voice away for having a difference of opinion.
When they speak down to you, treat you like an impudent child when you ask for a shred of human decency.
This far beyond something as Petty as a dispute over a ship. This is a question of character.
The leader is a position power from where they abuse their users and carry on a personal vendetta against anyone they perceive as a problem.
People aren’t problems, they just want to be treated with respect. If they can’t seem to grasp that concept than perhaps they shouldn’t be leading anything.
