Could varying levels of bonds with a gem determine how many limbs you'll have???Steven is close to all the crystal gems obviously with garnet and pearl as mom figures and Amethyst as an older sister role. Quick theory that I have spent 0 time researching but I believe siblings that are close typically go to each other with news they don't want to make public, hense why Steven and Amethyst fused 1st. However siblings even the closest ones will argue therefore Smokey has that weird bonus forearm.

Garnet and Pearl were pretty much on the same level as far as mom's go with how close they each are to Steven. HOWEVER Pearl knew THE MOST about Pink. Pearl and Steven fused after he found out how much Pearl knew about his mom, could this new knowledge have changed the outcome of Rainbow 2.0 due to the fact that Pearl is the closest he could get to Pink b/c of how much she knows???
