Jubilee was a Velocitronian racer with a unique ability- the power to move at extreme speeds, known colloquially as a 'warp drive'. The same kind that Cybertronians like Blurr have; unique, rare, and powerful. She required more fuel than the average bot, and was in the shop often for maintenance due to her profession as a derby racer.

She raced in a unique kind of Velocitronian demolition derby, in which the competitors would race around an obstacle-covered circuit, fighting against both the terrain and one another to be the first to an established amount of laps (or the last one standing.) A very intensive sport, varying from established regulation circuits to shady borderline brawls. Jubilee worked her way up from the latter to the former, her warp drive being instrumental in keeping her in one piece. Her strategy was simple: if you're fast enough, they can't hit you.

When the war broke out, however, being hit was less of a risk of losing a race and more of being offlined. Jubilee's speed and agility led to her position as a scout in the Autobots. As many had to, she adapted her racing frame to combat, but it would not be so smooth a transition. Her kind burn out much faster than others, systems constantly high-stressed, and soon resources began to dwindle. Specialty parts replaced with stock, trained technicians lost to warfare. Jubilee was getting slower. She was placed in a small ship with a few other Autobots, sent for a long-distance scouting mission to an energon rich planet to establish a possible outpost. Put in stasis for the journey, it would halt the decay of Jubilee's frame. But that ship never found its destination. A system fault led to the ejection of the ship's stasis pods, thrown out into random reaches of space. And so, for an age, Jubilee drifted, sleeping. But someone found her pod eventually.
