And that's not what Kaneki had wanted, that was what he was trying to move away from.It couldn't be worse than what he had been living with before coming to Koi could it ?

She didn't give him much longer to think over what she had said before she had a hose in hand and aiming it towards the group. Kaneki was shocked, completely floored before a few nervous chuckles slipped from his lips. It was, funny, really it was, but it was hardly appropriate especially if they got angry.

    ❝Oh! So you’re new here too?      Because I came here a few days ago.❞

     The blonde smiled at him, her blue eyes brightening. She thought she was the only one wandering confused in this city called Koi and yet, she found someone that was in the same boat. What’s more was that he also seemed to have an avid interest in books. This greatly relaxed her a little and maybe, she would finally make some friends around here. Well, she hoped.

He nodded his head once to the blonde, she was certainly friendly enough. Weren't most people though? Its something that starts off nice and in the end once the truth comes out everything shatters around you. Its more than just common where he comes from and people like himself are rather well acquainted with loss after getting so close to people. 

Then again he was over thinking it, going with her didn't mean they had to be friends. On the other hand he didn't have many friends and anyone he called a friend was back in Tokyo.

"That's very kind of you. If you ever need to find a good cup of coffee I can help you there."

He took the hand extended to him forcing a small smile as he introduced himself.

"B-but…Hide…Hide w-will know th-that I’m…that I’m a…!"  ▌expectation vs. reality.

"Really? Um...."

Kaneki wasn't sure it was a completely good idea to take her up on that offer as he hadn't eaten in a while. Though so long as that voice wasn't gnawing in the back of his mind reminding him that he had to eat at some point then he should be fine for a while.
