      Her ability to cross time barriers came to a halt, so explanations of where she resided never were answered the way she would like to without collective eyebrows becoming risen. “I’d like to just say I am from the stars.” was her clarification, an interested countenance following afterwards, “So, where are you from, if I may ask? And, I remember a nice girl telling me where the candy store is, right next to the place you just named, so yes, I’ve no problem going there as well, tea sounds absolutely sublime!~” Thus, her feet began to pick up, signalizing her movement towards their fantasy candy land. 

     ❝Uh, what? Ah! Yeah, where I'm from." That was a nice save.      ❝I'm from a city named New York in the United States. It's far from here, which is why I took a long flight here to Koi, leaving me jet-lagged for a couple of days." Adjusting to the schedule was hell. She thought, silently groaning.      ❝It's sorta like this city but more bigger; a lot more people and cars."      She followed by her side, relaxing a little and grinned.       ❝So I am right! It is by the place; can't wait -- what do you think you'll be getting, Ingrid?❞ 

"Kaneki Ken, its nice to meet you. Back where I’m from its hard to find people who love books as much as I do."

     ❝Mhm! Likewise, Kaneki.❞      She shook his hand; for some reason, it felt colder than most. Then again, he had an uncanny eyepatch on his eight eye.        Her curiosity kicked in, however -- she was in no position to take it further. It would be rude.      ❝Well, don't worry. I may not be the only one that loves books here so maybe you'll find some more. The bookstore has a lot of variety to choose from, or so that's what the city brochure info says.❞       At the quiet offer he made, her dimples appeared was followed by her lips curling upward to beam at him gently.       ❝Coffee? Mm, that sounds nice. Thanks, I'll be sure to ask then when I'm in a dire need of a morning pick-me-up.❞

"Look, I know I’m not some fancy-waist who can afford silk cloaks and the like and strut about like a peacock all day long, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with these clads. Commonfolks have to make do with what we can get hands on easily."

    ❝A--Uh. I didn't mean to make it sound like that! All's I was saying or meant was that your clothes kind of have a flare and style to it? It's -- er -- different!❞     A press of her tongue at the side of her mouth as her hands clasp together. Those were two out of the ten nervous tics she did when something went rather awry, even if it's such a minor thing. There's no going back on those words, Gwen Stacy. The hole has already been dug by your comment towards the man.     Oh, I'm in trouble.

    “No one knows who I am here, but I’m sure my street cred will build up eventually.”

   An uncontrolled smile formed in her delicate features as her blonde strands framed and brightened the emotion on her face. It was nice. Gwen thought as soon as her mind was bombarded with memories of her own little brothers. She was surprised; already becoming rather homesick after being here for a few days. Anything and anyone could remind her of New York City.    She shook her head; she was a big girl now. No more of this worry-wart mindset. She was here for... soul-searching, was it? Even now, she wasn't sure of herself. Good 'ol Miss Stacy; not living her life for once by a planner she made.     ❝Well, it does give you a cool look, that I must say.❞ She humored him, placing her hands in her pockets.      ❝Oh? Street cred?❞ Cue her eyes wide in 'shock'. ❝Really! Alright, kiddo, how old are you to already start thinking about that, hm?❞       Despite the whole 'reminded by her brother' thing; this kid seemed -- different from most. Then again, Gwen always had a hunch this city was not as ordinary as the tagline says.

               Looking over at the fellow female, a smile stretched more across her features, “A pleasure to meet you, Gwen. My name is Ingrid, forgive me for not mentioning that before.” She replied, still excited for their upcoming adventure.

    ❝Ingrid--,❞     She let the name roll at the end of her lips, making sure she remembers it properly. When it comes to being in a brand new city with fresh faces and buildings she had never seen before, Gwen had to do as much as she can to adapt herself to it. Especially with people she has come to cross paths with.      ❝That's a really pretty name; are you from abroad? And no it's fine, really -- we're just excited about sweets is all. My stomach is basically growling to have some. Now let's see, where could that candy store be again?  I think its next to the Sunflower Cafe; we should totally check out their stuff too, if you want. Some tea after candy hunting if you're free.❞

"S-sure thank you, I just moved here today and I have no idea where anything is."

      ❝And yeah, it's not a problem! We newbies got to help each other out!"       She extended her hand.       ❝I'm Gwen, by the way. Gwen Stacy. It's nice to see a fellow book lover here.❞

"I can’t find the bookstore…."

    ❝Ah, another bookworm too?       I'm actually headed towards the book place around here; if you want, I can show you there.❞
