Don't be rediculous. We all know Tumblr users all suffer from debilitating mental illnesses of the societal ilk and must surely be the most pessimistic of depressed individuals who ever walked on this human earth, opperessed until they have no rights ever because they're so oppressed and offended.

And this is something that happens pretty exclusively to women. The article even points it out. When men enjoy things that are popular among men, no one comments on in, certainly not in a negative way. No one laughs at men for liking CrossFit, or beer, or watching football. It’s okay for men to like things that lots of men like because mens’ interests are good and valuable from a societal perspective. Because men are good and valuable. But when women like things, those things become the subject of shitty, sexist jokes that further the belittlement of the interests of women and women in general.

This is just another way for men to shit on women and to further brainwash women and girls with internalized misogyny. This becomes another case of “I’m not like other girls.”

As though being like others girls is so bad. But thanks to the idea that liking what other girls like makes you a “basic bitch” and thus lame and to be laughed at, another generation of girls is growing up thinking that women and the things they enjoy are detestable and to be laughed at while the interests of men are somehow superior and preferable. That girls doing things that make them happy is some sort of sad joke.

Doxxing is illegal, stupid, and dangerous, but Tumblrinas don’t care.  Someone is wrong on the internet and by Zeus/God/FSM/the Dark Lord Buttsecks, that means they deserve to suffer.

A huge, huge portion of Tumblr is teenagers and overgrown adult children who get butthurt over the tiniest widdle thing, whine their heads off, then call down the wrath of their followers on other people, often openly.  But if you dare to disagree with them openly and attempt a rational debate (once you get past their sassy gifs and overuse of the phrase “lol bye!” and they get hate from people who agree with you, well, you’re a big bad meaner who must have sicced your followers on them!

Heads up, Tumblr:

Not everyone who has a different opinion is evil incarnate.

Not every situation calls for you to do something illegal “fir grat juztize!”

It's sick. And I've stopped using Tumblr periodically. I'm just now getting back into it, and I realized Tumblr made me a bitter person. Not because of all the things I saw posted that were "wrongs" in the world, but the way others treated these things.

I feel I'll have to block certain tags, not because they "trigger" me, but because I'm tired of seeing them. I came on to Tumblr to look at fan art and pizza. Not to be overloaded with such hatred toward others over the Internet.

Okay, as a guy, and one who NEVER itches himself in public (if I am I try and do it discreetly so nobody sees), its perfectly okay to scratch oneself if itchy. That being said, it is annoying when guys constantly itch and talk loudly about it. Like, cool? I guess?

But don't make it sound as if guys don't have "self control" or whatever because they scratch an itch. Yes, one could argue that one could resist the action, but if it means relief, most people will do it.
