winter is just [lives in oversized sweater] [reads 2,000 page book in 2 days] [sunsets at 2pm] [depression intensifies] [eats soup] [listens to melodrama] [existential dread] [is touch starved] [wakes up early and gets out of bed 2 hours later] [listens to hozier] [“bro feel how cold my hands are”] [drinks tea] [rereads harry potter for the 7th time] [both dreading and restless for the upcoming new year] [avoids human interaction] [drinks more tea]

I thought this said "writer" rather than "winter" and didn't even question the rest of it

do u ever just wanna drop out of academics and move to rural france so u can spend the rest of ur life making a living carving those lil fancy soaps

how about “stanning” your local library

university is ALSO just *goes to bathroom* *stress cleans to avoid homework* *buys on sale bread* *peace sign in mirror while bawling your eyes out at 3am* *always has a cold* *glasses r fogged up* *granola bars* *falls asleep in class* *does laundry* *staples something* *takes an ibuprofen* *listens to the same song for 3 days straight* *no free seats at the library*  *checks phone to see how long until class ends but forgets to actually look at the time* *naps* *regrets nap* *microwaves something* *has crisis about major* *contemplates dropping out every other week* *buys toilet paper*

university is just. it’s you, your laptop and your water bottle against the world

Why must I “make a hypothesis” and “have a real research question?” Is it not enough to be sexy and collect random data until I stumble across a discovery?

It’s not “uncool” to be smart and prepared and passionate and dedicated. Ignore people who say otherwise.
