ooc// I think I might be trying to come back on this muse. I can't promise I'll be fast but I've been thinking about ghost!Howard a bit lately. And I've missed playing him (and I recently had to decide a different muse of mine is good and dead and I don't really want to lose another I enjoy).

Peggy calls Howard about Steve
Howard looked not only for the body of Steve, but also Bucky's. It was just his "Search for Captain America" was the one that became known to the public. He was determined to bring both men home for a proper burial and it became an obsession for him.
Especially since he failed on both counts.

This was sad. He thought he sort of knew who his father was, but as it turned out, his father was just a stranger like a person passing by him on the street.
"She died, two years ago" Howard said with a small shrug, "I don't really remember her all that well, and my dad doesn't talk about her all that often. Mrs Charleston told me she died in an automobile accident though."

ghostofthefather sees his reflection in the shield
Grinning as Howard’s smile grew, Steve wished the man was really there so he could wrap his arms around him in a hug, “Well, it helps that I was frozen, sort of stuck in time until I was thawed,” he shot back with a chuckle. ”The serum helped, but I think a good portion of it was the ice. And we’ll just have to see… I might just get old too in time.”
"Knowing my luck, you'll age gracefully" he said, though honestly he knew he was lucky to have aged the way he had, though he suspects the decades of being a SHIELD agent instead of just a stagnant businessman helped.
Moving away from the wall, he approached Steve carefully and out of the shadows it was more obvious that he wasn't as solid as a living person, a sort of see-through quality to him. Reaching out though, he concentrated before trying to lay a hand on Steve's arm.
A soft exhale left him, never mind that he didn't really need to breath and technically wasn't, as he actually managed it..
