Well okay if you say so
So many people have gotten really good at socially getting away with ableism by wrapping it in something more defensible. They'll make a post about something that is obviously true (i.e. "it is wrong to do this bad thing") and then couch an enthusiastic hatred of disabled people inside of it (i.e. "but I know you people are too on the spectrum to care") (<- implication that it's just disabled people who do the bad thing and that they do it because disabled people don't care about others). And then when someone calls out the latter part, the speaker hides behind the former part (i.e. "erm, so you're saying it's ableist to say people shouldn't do this bad thing? omg everyone look! disableds think it's ableist to criticize them!").
Once you start seeing it, you can't stop seeing it. And people keep falling for it, again and again.
"People don't like it when you talk constantly about your interests and never give them a change to speak, and also autistic people do this not because they have difficulty understanding social interactions but because they're selfish and love to use others for their own gain. You can't call me ableist for the second part because that's basically saying you support forcing people to be endlessly talked at btw." "Brushing your teeth is important, but I know you people are just gonna say you don't have enough spoons to do so because you love using your disabilities as excuses to be lazy and gross. You can't call me ableist for the second part because that's basically saying people shouldn't brush their teeth btw." "Trauma isn't an excuse to hurt people, and most people's 'trauma' is just them being whiny about minor events anyways. You can't call me ableist for the second part because that's basically saying you think traumatized people should be allowed to firebomb orphanages btw."
You can say whatever you want about disabled people as long as you're right about something, because if there's one thing abled/NT people just can't resist, it's the opportunity to make disabled people out to be perpetually whiny and unreasonable.
Stop saying…
“Psychotic/Schizophrenic” when you mean: unpredictable, unrestrained, unreal, etc.
“Bipolar” when you mean: polarized, scattered, fickle, unstable, etc.
“Delusional” when you mean: unrealistic, unreasonable, close-minded, stubborn, etc.
“[insert “R” slur in relation to intellectual disabilities]” when you mean: unreasonable, ridiculous, scatterbrained, immature, etc.
“OCD” when you mean: particular, neat, overbearing, etc.
“Narcissistic” when you mean selfish, abusive, manipulative, etc.
Note: I’m NOT saying that these are synonymous. This is also not an exhaustive list.
It would be funny if we were introduced to a vast galaxy of alien life and the blue whale was still the largest animal ever discovered. Like that’s the biggest life has ever gotten. That would be fucked. The blue whale is just the craziest animals would get even with the introduction of a seemingly infinite number of new species. Would you be disappointed or celebrate the enormity of our homegrown big ass creature?

Just so everyone knows, an autistic person genuinely liking things you deem childish is not in fact ‘infantilizing autism.’ Some people just like that stuff, and autistic people are more likely to have ‘unusual’ interest per the literal diagnostic criteria. Let people live their life.
I've been having trouble with insomnia, but despite that, I feel more comfortable drawing at night, although I sometimes have existential crises..
I have a question.. why do you like my art? Did I manage to make you see sharks in a new light?
