One must wonder what kind of theory Pollux came up with to explain this moment. My bet is that he must have thought that Percy and Castor were secretly friends without his knowledge, and Percy was doing it in Castor's memory. Which has the added angst of Percy not even knowing Castor's name bf he died.

It's a fun dynamic that he has with his cousins (I include Hermes and Mr. D here) bc they're pretty unchill guys but Percy does manage to convince them to play nice and act normal a few times. You can tell he's a good influence on these gods and also, that they don't treat him like they do anyone else.

Evidence of Percy successfully using the Mist. He has to learn it completely by himself bc Chiron didn't bother teaching him btw but who's still bitter about it?? Me, I guess.
