I’m personally not a huge fan of Jax as a character for a lot of the series, however I really do like how they treated the interal issues Jax was dealing with, along with how the interalized self hatred for not feeling the gender that they are and wanting to transition, and in a way how that turns into internalized misogyny and self hatred. Its bittersweet, and I can say confidently that it definitely adds to Jax’s overall character and definitely feeling for him/her, something that was DESPERATELY needed I feel. Theres a fine line between a likable flawed character and unlikeable flawed character, and I feel that the extra depth of Jax accidentally killing his/her mother and dealing with a internal battle with identity leaned him/her to more of the likeable flawed character side. I do wish Jax got to truly identify how he/she wanted to ( I apologize I don’t know how to refer to Jax since I can’t tell if Jax still identifies as he/him or rather have she/her pronouns. Hey, maybe in the end, is he/him, she/her)
Also I LOVE how Caine breaks through and gains more humanity as he realizes how to solve a solution in a human way, and in that way, he gains his own form of humanity. Its very sweet. Plus all the drawings and animations showing him doing all normal human things together with everyone, gahhhh!!! So sweet.
Also Bubble being the whole ‘evil’ one this entire time is very funny but sweet how Caine let Bubble go. Very cool.
