Danny was with Sam and Tucker in the Ghost Zone when three seven-man squads of ghost knights found him. They had found an empty island near the portal that they had made into a makeshift training ground so he could safely practice his powers.

The most recent fights had shown him that he was only winning because of his quick thinking and adaptability that tricked his enemies, but he needed to get better if he ever wanted to prevent an incident like the ones at Axion labs from ever happening again.

He couldn't afford to create another arch-nemesis. Plus his good luck and clever mind could only get him so far if his body couldn't keep up.

He was in the middle of shooting the rays from the various drones Tucker set up when the knights landed on his island. Their metal clacking with each step they took, marching away from their skeleton winged horses.

Some ideas for Danny I’ve seen on this app has him being able to travel to entirely different franchise universes like DC just so he can do whatever.

What if this happens but for SCP?

Specifically I would have it so that Danny either ends up there on accident or just chose that universe because of all the insane kinds of supernatural creatures he can find.

Depending on if Danny’s either the Ghost King, Ancient, or both could determine two ideas I had with one around SCP-100-JP(The Attic) where during his time in that verse, he created a place to satisfy his space obsession while fucking around and the other having him be summoned by a random cult before the Foundation barges in and tries to contain him.

After the GIW tries to nuke the ghost zone foundation precogs sound the alarm on how the world just barely avoided an XK class end of the world scenario the Foundation does some digging and finds that the American government was hiding the existence of a portal to the infinite realms and a mass dimensional invasion happening from them.

The Foundation is needless to say, not happy. They kick out the GIW, who are a branch of the Unusual Incidents Unit and just as useless, and take over.

MTF Epsilon-6 is sent in to apprehend the Fenton parents and secure their tech as well as assess whether or not MTF Gamma-5 needs to be sent in to prepare city wide amnestic procedures. They walk in right in the middle of the fenton parents vivisecting their son, with their daughter and his two friends tied up in another room so they wont interfere.

By the time Danny wakes up in a Foundation hospital three days have passed, the Fenton parents are in custody, Amity Park doesn't think ghosts are real again, the anti-ecto acts are in the process of being repealed, and Jazz has an internship lined up in the ethics department for when she gets out of college.

Danny gets the explanation on where he is, what happened, who the SCP Foundation is and what they do, as well as an apology for not keeping a closer eye on the UIU and letting them get away with doing this, describing their actions as "needlessly cruel"

After a while they explain that while they can't let him go free, they want to bring him on as either a researcher or perhaps as a member of MTF Alpha-9. After talking it over with his friends he decides to become a researcher.

DP x DC Prompt with the Addams family mixed in

Danny had kept his secret as Phantom from everyone, but it cost him his "best" friends. They left him when he kept trying to convince them that all ghosts weren't bad.

And then when he thought his family would accept him as Phantom, he revealed his identity to them. But he was attacked, at first, but then he was sent away to be with his dad's brother, Gomez Addams, in Gotham.

Danny... doesn't know what to think of the Addams. They accept had welcomed him warmly when they were told that he was a Ghost. Though he corrected them that he was a Halfa when they asked why he didn't look Ghostly.

Danny's still feeling pretty hurt by being rejected by his family, so he's not really wanting to interact much with the Addams or try ti make friends in Gotham right now.

Given that Danny still needs to complete his schooling, he was enrolled at Gotham Academy. Wednesday is going with him to keep him company. And she likes that Danny is shunning society. She'll try to get to know her cousin over the course of their time in Gotham Academy.

Danny mentions his parents rejecting him for being a halfa? Genuine compassion for his situation and tries to up-talk being an Addams and help him find pride in being ‘a breathing bridge between sides of the veil, how dreadful! Do you want to talk about how it came to be? Oh, perhaps we can go over various forma of torture and combat and catalogue what you’ve survived? No, hm… those shades you seem to like? Want to do seance and see what they’d like of the living while you take a break from bridgework? Excellent!”

Pair this with Danny baffled as he is never sure if its sarcasm or an Addams-ism when she and her family talk.

Add his general confusion with their over-abundance of wealth contrasted with how generous they are and him debating if they are actively running a crime syndicate or just paying people to not commit crimes against them (depending on the Addams, upset they cannot pay people to torture them as it confuses the person doing the crime AND baffles the local vigilantes as to who is the aggressor)

Damian gets a frontrow seat to Addams Family Shenanigans as Robin now and then, but now has the happy goth and her out-of-state cousin at his school and in a few shared electives (let the three be in art class together, danny is good at sketching in cannon, damian loves to do art in cannon and wednesday took it up in place of sewing classes as she’s in a local group for that instead).

Damian, as Robin, is mildly concerned when wednesday calls Danny a ghost and asks if he can teach her how to haunt her familyline when she dies one night. Danny stares at her before saying ‘if you can find me in the infinite realms, remember this conversation, and want the guy that failed at living and dying, sure. Why not?’

Wednesday is psyched for this, and decides to ask Danny if he wants to visit the family plot as ‘you seem to relax there more, and the ancestors love visitors! We wake them on halloween to catch up and—“

Damian is now wondering if the cute girl in his art class is a necromancer (yep, and a witch apprentice) and how worried he should be for her clear spiral into villainy… and if her cousin counts as her familiar (no, pugsley does though).

Danny is along for the ride and angsting about his life beforehand and grieving what he hoped for with his parents. Meanwhile Addams are going ‘our cousin now’ and decorating his room with accurate constellations and encouraging his escapades into mad science as his calling. (Petition to the public to Let danny be a mad engineer who’s projects legit help people as his preferred career and the Addams bankroll him as ‘too rich to need to work and support their family who pick a passion’ with danny’s other ‘job’ being fighting Gomez in duels).

Story is slowburn family of choice on Danny’s side, Wednesday and co speedrunning integrating their cousin into the fold and being as supportive as possible, and Damian is trying to prevent two baby rogues (bat-tunnel vision stops them from realizing the Addams are benign until Kate/Batwoman steps in and lets them know Addams are the metas of the supernatural world, and are rarely malevolent. Most are eccentric weirdos helping how they understand.)

If you want to add amity parkers finding Danny with his cousins family, try to call him Fenton only for Pugsley to pipe up “he’s an Addams now, if you want to talk to someone, at least know what family they’re in! Sorry about thar Cousin Danny—do you want to talk to them or can we go back to baiting the muggers again?”

Hell, Jack and Maddie even trying to take Danny back later only for Danny to go ‘nah, i’m home already. I dont need a house that doesn’t want all of me.” Can be fun.

Jazz has visiting rights and is exclusively called “Cousin Jazz” or “Cousin Jasmine”.

Thing and Lurch are oddly comforting to Danny (fellow undead) and Danny keeps befriending the local undead population in Gotham (somehow excluding Jason as ‘not going near the cranky revenant’).

Hell, his rogues may get pissy he’s not around and just… follow him to Gotham ans see him ‘haunting’ the addams on an invitation to and go ‘oh, baby’s new haunt… how do i get the baby ghost to play? Mayhem in the city usually works!’

But also the Addams are family First and Foremost in every adaption besides the wednesday show and its what makes the family so fascinating besides their joint interest in things most are repulsed by and what has them stand out—they are a ride and die family who genuinely love, accept and encourage each other without any hesitance.

Giving Danny to the Addams in a nobody knew au post reveal feels like Jack admitting he knows he ans Maddie cannot accept Danny as he is a ghost or part ghost, but STILL wants to try to give him the family Jack believed they were before so… he calls up his eccentric and estranged cousin that DID choose all this supernatural stuff over the family tradition, and we get Gomez going ‘more family around? And he’s supernatural? Cousin Jack, we will take him under our wing! (Keep him safe from your side and if he permits, give you wellness updates. Your son you can’t accept is safe with us!)’

Jack and Maddie thought this would be temporary, and did not look hard enough at the papers they signed. Addams family lawyer (Cousin It) made sure it was an ironclad surrender of parental rights to protect his fellow outcasted baby cousin, and like the rest of the Addams ExtendedTM, checks in on Danny regularly via text, facetime or social media.

Addams (+ extended Addams) are gung-ho about New Addition (Danny) and trying to respect his grieving period for the life he expected and lost (those folded in or adopted later in life trying to manage the over-enthusiastic born Addams from scaring the poor boy and almost accidentally lovebombing the kid when he needs space)

Hell, why not have Danny be staying with Fester officially as his ward while Gomez and Morticia are his aunt and uncle, with Danny meeting undead under Fester’s guidance and helping with his side-quests (fester is the real side questing king, i will not take criticism on this as the man gets into random plotlines everytime i’ve seen him) as a way to help him adjust to Gotham.

Danny meets Killer Croc and Solomon Grundy when Fester drops off food for the two sewermates and Danny and Grundy take one look at each other before Grundy has lobbed Danny onto his shoulders and Danny is chattering absently about stars. Fester is fascinated by the intricate unspoken understanding between the undead and Making Notes for the family to help with Danny finding more undead peers and what seems okay. Croc is worried for five minutes about both until Danny absently flips forms and decides to spar with grundy as a halfa instincts thing. Croc is then making bets on what each will do with Fester, while Grundy is clearly content to play-fight with Baby Stronger Liminal who clearly has Social Disability (hc halfas get no explanations or intrinsic understanding of death cultures and varied things for the dead and undead spectrums) so Grundy is trying to patch this for the kid as Good Adults Should.

Danny is, again, running on vibes and has no clue what everything means, just mirroring and going through his own feelings (Addams Clan slowly becoming his Fright and Haunt can be a fun concept to explore, while distinctly being obsessed with Life, Stars (exploration, learning, pursuit, ect.), and Engineering (thinks All Types, yes including architecture, civil, mech and more) and the Addams openly encouraging him to Be the Weirdo He Is Openly with his interests.

Wednesday is trying to be a good cousin and friend, but gets caught up in the spooky the way Sam would the heroics, but notably catches herself and is trying to be aware how that may be cool from her POV but not his own, and try to navigate that while being there for her cousin Going Through ItTM.

Pugsley is a year or so below and a MenaceTM to the staff by playing what he thinks are jokes but read as rogue behavior (pugsley doesnt quite understand many avoid pain as it unpleasant and most avoid unpleasant things.) danny is, weirdly, pugsley’s Normal Person base now, and is helping the guy learn how to downplay and play up his interests depending on his audience.

Damian is watching this trainwreck as a student and keeps seeing Possible Rogues for Himself in Danny, Wednesday and Pugsley who could be dissuaded from such actions and remain eccentric if he plays their social game correctly.

Danny also keeps trying to get the Trailing Robin to leave him alone (let Damian skip a grade or two, while Wednesday and Danny are a year or so apart with pugsley two years younger than Wednesday). Danny is not heroing anymore (forced retirement when he didnt want the job) and Danny is stuck with Stray Vigilante Baby stalking him during his botched death reveal crisis of identity, Fright and Haunt. Also this one is Stabby but Restrained and it bugs Danny the kid won’t fight him seriously (Ghost and Halfa culture cornerstone of communication and co-habituating territories to work out relative pecking order, specialties, relation to one another and frightmates, And MoreTM) and no clue why he’s offended. Bonus of Danny treating his Robin Stalker like a stray cat to be scuffed and handed to nearest bat-adjacent vigilante or anti-hero (allies of Robin in ghostly brain, safe to dump Poorly Skilled Living Stalker on).

General question: do we keep Wulf and Best Boi Cujo here? As Danny showing up with a green dog at Gotham Academy going “he keeps portalling to me” as his excuse, staff trying to take Cujo away only for cujo to go Big, be told “cujo sit, laydown, good boy. Now go little, yes good, and can you fetch Box Ghost? Yes you fetch box ghost” and to publicly portal away into a green void, turn to the staff and go “blame my former godfather’s company, i just keep the pup from doing damage.” Is highly amusing.

Damian is chomping at the bit to hunt down Danny’s godfather “the fruitloop” who is an enemy of the Addams family by rite of ‘we share our enemies’ apparently and none will name him gets on Damian’s nerves.

Notably Damian is Wednesday’s friend, who wednesday picked as he shuns high society’s ideals and chases his own, and again, share art class.

Morticia is definitely friends with Ivy on basis of Share Love of Deadly Plants with Ivy more scientifically focused and Morticia focusing on magic, and adoring her oversized carnivorous bug and steak eating plants.

… is it horrible i want Danny and Duke to have their own friendship built on the problems they each run into as civilians and refuse to stop getting into? They don’t know names, just mutually agree if one is running, they join in and help no questions asked. And if Danny helps out Signal as his ass keeps forgetting to pretend not to see (duke is the only daylight hero and Danny tries not to clock his ‘buddies in BS’ clear vigilante training but uh. They only meet mid-mini crisis and the moves are Too Similar).

Danny also must chronically avoid crime alley and try to herd the butterflies that is the Addams Family from it. Mixed success but Danny is avoiding Cranky Unavenged Revenant and the territory fight he knows in his bones would follow. He’s tired y’all. Healing from Haunt and Fright rejection is A Lot for a baby halfa (it takes at least seven years for a Made Halfa to fully integrate, Danny’s on Year Two).

Semi-obligatory ‘Danny helps Mr. Freeze with cure’ while the Addams fund him, once they see Danny’s ice core act up and he begrudgingly spills the side effects of not using his ice enough and how he’s going through ‘ghost growth spurts’ still. Feel free to use this as a point of contention between Damian and Kate/Batwoman who see it as (respectfully) ‘proof Danny is gong rogue and making allies’ vs ‘eccentric Addams doing the help thing in their usual brand of kind and off-putting’.*

*feel free to have this be a point of issue for Damian who is interested and aware of the supernatural and worried Danny may be trying to make Freeze and his wife into some kind of Thrall and have him ask Jason (and by extension as a drinking buddy), Constantine and even Raven for help. Damian dealing with confirmation bias only to be gently informed that the kid is just helping as one of his obsessions as an infinite realms hybrid is engineering and he gets a Cool Mentor in a few engineering fields, To Help Some one, and Possible Friend(?), means the trio are more worried about Mr. Freeze accidentally or intentionally taking advantage of a disabled half ghost thank any malevolence on Danny’s part. Just, Damian being hit with ‘sometimes the eccentric is just a civilian, even with powers and when associating with a rogue’ can be fun for Damian when he’s around 12 as Robin, and a reminder that his family can give him bad subconscious associations he may not agree with consciously, but still be affected by

Danny is more than a bit concerned about his guardian’s taste in women as Fester still croons about her, but admits she wasn’t a good fit for the Addams as a whole given the isolate him from his family, and that since he couldn’t die he was a bad fit for her.

Danny jokes about her and Vlad being a nightmare couple if they got together then, and mentions Vlad is a halfa, billioniare by possessing rich people to give him better deals, and Vlad being team ‘force Danny into teen parenthood despite him and Ellie being cousins now’ in a semi-panicked truama dump.

Debbie overhears the billionaire part and goes ‘oh, i can ruin his finances AND get a new body from my old one? Bet!’

Danny is not sure how he’s been dragged into making Debbie a new body, or why the Addams are so excited to do this for her. Morticia tells him she’s part of the family’s ward and guarding system now, so no need to worry, Debbie is just cleaning up some messes and then can continue as she would have before.

Danny stress makes weapons against vlad for Debbie. Debbie is delighted, and agrees to steal old blueprints from his family home with Jazz distracting them. Debbie makes a PointTM to unplug the portal and fry the circuitry in it before leaving as a ‘fuck you’ (she thinks his are negligent at best and her own POV of her life makes Danny a gross kindred spirit)

Debbie sashays in with blueprints that Danny is now editing and revamping as ‘they always forget about xyz and…’ while making her ecto-safe ways to restrain and fight Vlad given Debbie has no unique powers of her own.

If we want, Vlad and Debbie can actually end up a weirdly functional couple as Vlad’s ‘deaths’ are just Debbie being mad at him and leaving him in a thermos for a few months, with Vlad content to move on with Debbie and making her an artificial Halfa (ghost possessing a liminal clone body, damn near a corpse au but this time body drops into a coma or vegetative state when she ejects from it). We can also go classic Vlad v Tech’d out Debbie with her dropping bits of Things That Did Happen strategically enough to ruin Vlad’s reputation or turn others against him (either way works tbh).

Bruce and crew are vacationing in a random Midwest town as part of a "see the United States trip!" Full of grudges and "family bonding".

Another more gloomy and some would say kooky family is also doing the same thing. With much more glee of course.

Parked on the edge of town is a very interesting crew. They are looking at a laptop while sitting in an impala car. "This town is supposedly haunted. And its been happening for a while." The man with the longer hair says.

They were not ready for what is about to happen.

The residents of this small Midwestern town are surprised they have tourists. It's been a few years since the whole ghost thing started. Things have been chaotic. Yes paranormal tourism is big. But normal everyday rich families? And ones that make Vlad nervous?? Oh Danny would totally enjoy this! If his ghost senses were not going crazy. He needs a nap. He has a migraine. Trouble is coming. And he just wanted to finish his damn homework for once! Ughhh what trouble did his parents bring to town this time?

Like imagine them being lost distant relatives that stumble across each other. Maybe the Addamses stumble across Danny first. Maybe Danny's out and about and ends up being drawn to their spooky, hella haunted mansion. Maybe he's in the Zone and he finds an ancestor who points him in the direction of the Addams' abode - or even better - maybe all the smaller ghosts he comes across turn around and run the moment they realise he's a Fenton - AKA the most notorious ghost hunters in the Zone - but one ghost takes one good look at him in all his freaky halfa glory and goes, "you're an Addams, aren't ya?", and Danny is confused AF.

The Addamses would be overjoyed to have a liminal spirit in the family!!!!!

Morticia would offer Danny a plot in the family cemetery and triple check that the house and surrounding areas were free of blood blossom - not that there were any there to begin with.

Gomez would throw an arm around his shoulder and teach him how to throw knives and cheat at poker. He'd find out that Danny has to walk to school in the mornings now that Jazz isn't there to drive him anymore and he'd insist that Lurch would be able to drop him and pick him up, anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Gomez insists that Lurch would even be able to find his way around the Ghost Zone so Danny wouldn't have to fly home after another one of Skulker's traps.

At first Danny would be a little creeped out by Fester - mostly due to Fester's subpar social skills and tendency to linger in the darker corners of the room. But then Fester offers him the room next to his own and teaches him new card games and shows him how to fish using sticks of dynamite. His lack of social awareness and giddy attitude reminds him of his dad.

Wednesday reminds him of Sam. She's fiercely protective and has a morbid, dry sense of humour. She comes up with a scarily efficient 13 step plan to eradicate the A listers. She has a never ending list of questions for him but never pushes the sensitive topics - mostly she just wants to know if he's come across any of their ancestors yet. He's surprised by how well they get along.

Pugsly never fails to try and involve him in whatever lethal games he and Wednesday often play. Danny introduces him to Cujo and the two of them spend an entire evening running through the cemetery digging up bones and coming up with ways to use his size-changing abilities in pranks. Danny's just glad there's finally someone else Cujo will listen to when he's not around.

Grandmama Frump seems slightly insane but it's not anything he isn't used to. She keeps giving him strange smelling stews and teas that he's only a little hesitant to drink. She reassures him that the stew has all the necessary nutrients for the recently deceased. He has no idea what that means but judging by the colour it's got a healthy dose of ectoplasm added in and he isn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth - even if he's yet to ask where exactly she managed to get that much ecto in the first place. The tea - he later finds out - is nothing but a mixture of dried herbs and flowers. A family recipe that never fails to put him to sleep.

He's a little apprehensive when he finds out that the Addamses have a butler - his mind immediately jumps to Vlad and how most insanely rich weirdos must treat their employed help. He soon witnesses the way they treat Lurch with as much love and respect as they treat each other and all his doubts fade away like smoke. One day after a surprisingly brutal attack by the box ghost - which leaves his pride more than a little bruised - he finds Lurch parked outside the alleyway he used to transform back into Fenton. He already knows that trying to make conversation with the guy is useless and that he'll only reply in half mumbled grunts and moans. He's sore and dripping in foul smelling puddle water and doesn't have the energy to even try turning away, so he just sighs and slides his way into the back seat. He thinks he's being taken back home to Fentonworks or even back to the Manor to be patched up, but he drifts off and when he wakes up they're already in line at the Nasty Burger drive through with Lurch handing a wad of cash to the wide-eyed worker in the payment window. He ends up with enough food to crowd the backseat along with a mountain of napkins to dry himself off and a dozen frosty milkshakes to soothe his busted lip and two black eyes. He offers Lurch a handful of fries and is given a crooked half-stiff smile in return. When he does eventually get dropped off - after about an hour or two of driving around in circles so he could finish his meal undisturbed, only stopping to pick up a harried looking Sam and Tucker off the side of the road, who had apparently been looking for him since school ended more than half an hour ago - he's given a firm pat on the head and a slip of paper with a barley legable phone number scrawled in red ink. The next time he stops by the Manor he makes sure to pick up an extra large strawberry fudge shake and discovers that Lurch has a rather large sweet tooth and an equally large grin.

But I bet that the moment they find out that Maddie and Jack have threatened their son with genuine bodily harm they would 100% be willing to donate their personal guillotine for the good of the family. Cause ya know, torture and dismemberment is only fun if everyone involved is having a good time. And honestly, the manor has so many rooms that are collecting perfectly good dust with no one to put it to good use. The Addamses look out for each other, regardless of how distantly related or how seemingly dead you are.

Danny can't wait to introduce Jazz.

I actually wrote this as a reblog of the first DP x Addams post that I came across (@limbless-ghosts). It was like an epiphany and I literally keyboard smashed this out while I was meant to be watering my plants. So I'm chucking what I wrote into its own post cause I recently also found out that reblogs don't pop up when you use the search bar and I need more people to be aware of this.

Also cause I'm kinda surprised but how little Addams content there is - not in relation to the new Wednesday series - like, there is still a lot but I honestly thought there would be more. I also thought the Addams fandom on ao3 would be better but it is criminally lacking.
