I'm genderfluid, but I've never really felt super connected to it, I like the fluid part, but maybe not some of the associations, like the fact that the common flag is basically masculine, feminine, masc+fem/androgynous, genderless, and others too I guess (the white stripe. I mean, it's nice it's there, but it also feels like such a neutral colour), so my nonbinary gender isn't really included (I like representing it with yellow, or maybe teal...)

The popular genderfluid flag is really iconic, so I've always felt like anything else wouldn't be as good, it wouldn't quite get that iconic-ness, if that makes sense?

But it does kind of bother me, if I think about it personally, so I thought maybe I should just try to make one anyways.

Since it is genderfluid, I started with the idea of water, which I then expanded into a beach and sky, to include a variety of colours. I think it's fitting, since the ocean, sand, and sky are all things that change a lot (think like, waves, algae blooms, reflecting light in different ways (like twilight :), how sand is like a solid liquid, and just the general ever changing nature of them).

I'm not going to assign specific gender colours to them, since that's kind of what's stopping me from using the original genderfluid flag, and I feel like I included enough colours that it can be interpreted to fit a lot of different genders.

The symbol I included to make it more unique (there are a lot of gradient pride flags lol), and I chose that specific one because it isn't some mix of male and female, I like that it's more broad / just focused on fluidity. There are some other general symbols too, but I feel like this fits the aesthetic more, kind of reminds me of a whirlpool (why there's a second version coloured cyan).

I'm not quite sure about the design, but I do like vibe (kinda casual, but also colourful).

Also, I noticed when looking at the symbol that is has a little crease where the lines and circle meet. Understandable, I ran into the same problem trying to recreate the symbol. I figured out how to align it at the proper angle for a smoother connection though, so I'll post the symbol too, for anyone else that cares about little details like that.
