This year, I am taking on the exciting challenge of participating in the Business Chicks Immersion & Leadership Program 2013 in Uganda. As part of this experience, I am aiming to raise $20,000 to be donated to The Hunger Project in support of ending world hunger and poverty. 100% of all funds donated go to the cause which has been set up to empower communities, particularly women, to be able to provide for their families in some of the poorest and poverty stricken places in the world. In November 2013, I will be travelling to Uganda to meet some of these amazing women that have turned their lives around with help from The Hunger Project. These women are now running banks in remote villages, bringing villages water, setting up small businesses and becoming leaders in their community. We believe that hunger is not a problem of one country and not another. It is a global issue and I’d really love your support.
