Suicide-baiting, cyberharassmemt, cyberstalking, death/rape threats, and hate speech are illegal in all 50 states as well as Australia and the UK.

Some places include school suspension or expels. Some even include jail time for multiple years.

And yes, they can find someone by username or IP alone.

Also, yes. There are methods of catching someone’s IP. Even under a VPN.

So.

Next time you get hit with anon hate?

Casually remind them you can very easily take this to the next level. And they can earn jail time while you lay back in your chair, having saved yourself and everyone else from a violent criminal.

Your online actions have real life consequences.

Make sure they learn that.

(Just in case there’s a “the police wouldn’t do that” - Yes. They absolutely would.

Or a “I can handle it.” No. That person will continue to harass others as well. And one of them may not be as strong as you. So do it for them and everyone else.

Or a “It’s not that severe.” Yes. It is. People have died because of this. It really is that severe.)

I’ve been wanting to release some of the prompts from recent bombs as coloring pages, bc hey, everyone loves a good coloring page! So here’s the first batch!

This, however, is a TEST BATCH. I would die of happiness if anyone actually colored these and then made sure I saw them, but I’ve got a few rules first:

DO NOT REMOVE MY SIGNATURE. You can relocate my signature around the image, I tried to put it in a non-invasive place, BUT DO NOT COVER IT WITH LINES, COLOR, TEXT, SCENERY, OR ANYTHING ELSE.

CREDIT @amadeus-prompts​ OR MY PERSONAL BLOG, @rubbersoles19​. Tagging me or linking back is acceptable with a hyperlink, but simply saying “credit to artist” will not suffice. I WILL COME AFTER YOU IF YOUR FOLLOWERS CANNOT FIND ME.

YOU CAN MINIMALLY ALTER BUT DO NOT TRACE. If you want to add additional details or some background, that’s great! HAVE FUN! I really really want to see what you kids can come up with! I know these rules above seem strict, but really they aren’t. If you’re being a decent artist with respect for other artists, the above will come naturally to you anyway.

I would love to do more of these, but that will depend on how well these go after first. Please please please let me know if you color any of these, or even submit them back to the blog itself so I can post and show them off! Not only bc properly crediting the artist is the decent thing to do, but bc it’s fun! I super want to see what everyone can do. So have fun, get messy, and let me know!!

In order to use:

They are PNG file types with transparent backgrounds! Simply download them, open them with your favorite art program, or print them out and color them traditionally, and start coloring! (Copy and pasting the images won’t work. You will lose the transparency.)

I may even open requests to turn certain prompts into coloring pages if y’all are really excited about these

“What the hell are you talking about, Bear?” Well, let me explain. For those of you who live outside of the US, this is a Zebra Cake:

It’s a little pre-packaged snack cake that is horribly cheap and junky and really not that great, but it is like manna from heaven to me. I fucking love these things. When I was a little kid growing up, my mom bought Zebra Cakes but once in a blue moon. They were intended to be put in mine and my siblings’ school lunches, but my brother and I would eat them whenever we wanted, so Mom just didn’t see the point. (They also used to be kind of expensive, at least for our family’s budget.) Needless to say, the coveted Zebra Cakes were a luxury for me, and were one of the tastes of my childhood.

Fast forward to my college years. I was living in an apartment with three other people, doing my own shopping and cooking. I was in the grocery store, picking up some stuff, and I happened to walk past a display of snack cakes. Among them were several boxes of Zebra Cakes.

I paused at this, chuckling to myself. Oh man. Zebra Cakes. I haven’t had those in years. I loved those when I was a kid. I reminisced happily and thought about how much I missed the taste of Zebra Cakes, then started to walk away.

And then I stopped dead.

Because I had realized that there was literally nothing stopping me from buying a box of Zebra Cakes. There was nothing stopping me from buying ten boxes of Zebra Cakes. If I wanted Zebra Cakes, I could have goddamn Zebra Cakes, because it was my money and my decision to make.

I put two boxes in my cart (they were 2 for $5) and never looked back.

Here’s the secret I learned that day: The idea of something being “just for kids” is, by and large, bullshit. What you do on your own adult free time with your own adult money is, by its very nature, adult stuff. It’s like comedian Eddie Izzard (who frequently performed his routines in drag) once said when someone asked about him wearing ‘women’s clothes’: “They’re not women’s clothes. They’re my clothes. I bought them.”

I am 25 years old, and yesterday I bought myself a shark lunchbox. Look at it. Look at how awesome my lunchbox is.

Was this lunchbox intended to by bought for and used by a child? Yes. The tag said it was for ages 3 and up. But it was bought by and will be used by an adult, and anyone who thinks that’s wrong is probably just jealous that they don’t have the self-confidence to rock a shark lunchbox at 25.

The Log Off Protest is officially OVER! 

But we’re not done yet! 

Wave 2 of the protest will pick up before the end of the year - this time with mass emails, tweets, and negative reviews of the app/website. There is no defined date yet, so make sure to follow this blog and the Twitter page ( @logoffprotest ) for updates.

Just Wave 1 on its own was a success - dropping Verizon’s stock. 

Imaging what Wave 2 would do? Or even Wave 3 - a longer protest?!
