.｡.:*☆ “A lot of people do that, from what I have heard.” Celeste also had been thinking about it herself, actually. Mainly because there was so much going on for her since she had gotten back her memories. Maybe she should just go and buy herself a second notebook, or something like that.

“It does sound like a pleasant thing to sort out your thoughts, so to say,” She smiled. “And….. oh! Mainly the nightsky, and constellations, if I see any. I do love the stars, and, of course, also watching them, if I get the chance!”

“Yeah, I find it incredibly helpful,” Marley nodded, “I don’t know I guess I just think about everything all the time you know? But I guess everyone is probably like that in some regard, right?” She concluded with a sheepish smile, as she realized she’d been rambling. Eyes widening as Celeste continued to speak though, Marley grinned widely. “Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing! I don’t know much about the stars or galaxies or constellations or anything like that but I’ve truly always just found the night sky so beautiful,” she practically cooed at the thought. “Do you have a favorite star or constellation?”

                         katy  was  a  pretty  chill  person  for  the  most  part  so  when  the  girl  swiped  the  wallet  katy  figured  she  would  just  ask  for  it  back.  ‘  hey  kid  ,  we  both  know  what  just  went  down  so  give  it  back  please.  ‘  katy  asked  figuring  it  was  the  best  way  to  go  about  it.  

While Lena was originally going to pretend that she didn’t know what she was talking about, but figured that would probably be more trouble than it was worth. “Crap,” Lena muttered to herself before reluctantly handing the wallet back, “Um... sorry. I guess,” Lena spoke, refusing to make eye contact.

“lena? sounds familiar, but i don’t think i know you… sorry.” he said with a shrug as he looked at the girl in front of him. “i am a bit worried about my wallet. i only have, like, two quarters to my name so… you aren’t getting much with that. just my identity, but i guarantee you: you don’t want to be me.” dewey told her as he shook his head. he didn’t care about the money, he just cared about having to get new ids and such and a new wallet. the wallet he currently had was given to him a long time ago by his uncle scrooge.

“You….don’t know me,” Lena thought out loud, more to herself than to Dewey. Maybe it was better that way. She was doing her best to keep any traces of magic repressed here anyways, and she figured she had caused enough trouble for the whole McDuck clan for one lifetime anyways - she didn’t need to in this one too. “Fine, fine,” Lena finally spoke once more, tossing the wallet back over to Dewey, though she did quirk an eyebrow, “Why would I not want to be you?”

 vax  shook  his  head  with  a  small  smile.  “maybe  i  should  be,  but  i’ve  been  down  that  road  many-a-times.  you’ve  gotta  do  what  you’ve  gotta  do,  just  don’t  let  it  happen  to  you.”  it  was  a  motto  vax  used  to  live  by  when  he  himself  was  just  a  thief,  stealing  to  get  by.  with  his  chosen  family  he  had  found  a  greater  sense  of  purpose,  some  other  way  to  make  it  through  the  world,  but  he  never  forgot  how  much  he  relied  on  thieving  to  get  by.  “watch  this.”  vax  “accidentally  bumped  into  a  passerby,  but  choosing  to  steal  an  apple  from  a  stand  instead  of  stealing  off  the  person,  seizing  his  opportunity  while  the  merchant  was  busy  looking  at  the  chaos.  he  made  his  way  back  without  anyone  suspecting  a  thing.  he  tossed  the  other  the  apple  a  shrugged.  “i’m  a  thief  too  kid.”

Lena nodded, listening to him intently, still somewhat taken aback by his seemingly genuine kindness. “Yeah, that’s kind of... exactly it,” Lena nodded, sighing out. She didn’t want to have to steal from people, but at the end of the day it was how she ate, and it was nice that someone else could understand that instead of just assuming she was a bad kid. “I think letting it happen to me might be the only thing worse than getting caught,” Lena let out a small and dry but genuine laugh, just as she watched the other do his thing, another small and genuine laugh escaping her as she caught the apple. “Wow, you’re a pro or something, huh?” She smirked. “But, um, thanks.” She nodded slowly, “For, I don’t know, not being mad or judging me or something,” sighing out, she offered a small smile, “I’m um, I’m Lena, by the way,”

Webby immediately hugged her best friend back as she beamed, just happy to see the other girl. “I’m happy to see you too! How have you been? What have you been up to? Do you want to go get some pie?!” And she was back at it again being the hyper-active girl she’d always been. “Where are you staying? How long have you been here? Do you wanna have a sleepover?”

Laughing as Webby rambled on, Lena shook her head. “I’m glad to see you haven’t changed at all on the inside,” Lena smirked, though did take a moment to look her friend over, really taking in her human form. Shaking her head as she found herself getting distracted by it, Lena let out a small dry chuckle, “One thing at a time, Webby.” Trying to process all of the questions Lena sighed out, “I’ve been here for like...a few years, I think? And I’ve just uh, you know, been staying around,” She shrugged, embarrassed to admit she didn’t have a true home. “How about you though? Have you seen anyone else yet? How long have you been here?” Lena now took her turn spitting questions out.

mel shook her head at the other womens words before holding up a wallet that had fallen from the womens pocket as she passed by. ‘ i was only trying to return this , but if its not yours i guess i’ll have to keep it. ‘ mel spoke knowing that once the women realized what was in hand she would probably change her tone with her. ‘ id keep better  care not everyone would try and return something like this. ‘

“Huh?” JJ was surprised to hear Mel’s words, and was even more surprised to find that she had actually dropped her wallet. JJ was normally so on top of things but it seemed more and more these days that she was losing track of everything, and distracting herself with work to pretend it wasn’t happening which, of course, only made it worse. “Oh my God, thank you,” JJ sighed out, relieved to have gotten it back, though, she did refrain from rolling her eyes as the other woman continued to speak. “I normally do. And believe me, you don’t have to explain to me how the world works - I am all too familiar,” JJ did her best to keep her tone neutral as she ended with a slight nod.

                         genevieve  had  always  been  very  intelligent  and  self  reliant  like  her  parents  had  wanted  her  to  be.  Especially  since  she  had  to  go  to  a  different  school  than  her  brothers.  it  wasnt  the  first  time  someone  had  tried  to  steal  from  the  rich  kid  thinking  they  would  be  an  easy  target.  ‘  give  me  back  the  wallet  ,  you  dont  know  who  your  messing  with.  ‘   the  blonde  spoke  in  an  icey  tone  that  she  had  perfected  over  the  years.  

“Jeez, are you always this friendly? Or did I just find you on a lucky day?” Lena quirked an eyebrow before tossing the wallet back, trying to not show that she was embarrassed to be caught. “Here, take it back before you get yourself all worked up,”

                                jessica  turned  around  quickly  grabbing  the  younger  womens  wrist  when  she  felt  the  women.  she  had  been  a  pi  for  a  while  but  this  kinda  thing  actually  happens  more  than  most  people  would  think.  ‘  anyone  ever  tell  you  ,  its  not  a  good  idea  to  take  things  from  strangers?  ‘  the  spiderwomen  asked  with  a  raised  eyebrow  ,  not  quite  mad  at  the  situation. 

Freezing immediately Lena simply blinked for a few long moments. Hesitantly handing the wallet back with shaky hands Lena’s eyes continued to go wide but she tried to stand her ground as she took a deep breath, beginning to speak once more, “No, actually,” she began sarcastically, “You’re the first person to ever tell me that,”

                       jessica  had  been  heading  to  work  when  she  passed  by  the  blonde  ,  though  there  was  a  little  bracelet  a  few  feet  from  her.  which  looked  like  it  had  fallen  off  the  women  as  she  was  walking.  ‘  sorry  i  wanted  to  make  sure  this  wasnt  yours  ,  its  so  pretty  and  i  lose  bracelets  all  the  time  so  i  would  hate  for  others  to  go  though  that  as  well.  ‘  jessica  admitted  rambling  slightly  since  she  couldnt  help  it  at  this  current  moment.  

After realizing the other woman clearly didn’t mean any harm, JJ let her guard down slightly, turning to face her, JJ’s facial expression softening slightly as she actually paused to listen to what was being said to her. “Oh, that’s... very kind of you,” JJ nodded slowly, surprised by the slight ramblings of the other female, but laughed when she saw the bracelet she was holding, “But, that is in fact mine. Um, thank you. For stopping me to give it back. That was very kind of you,”

                         nancy  hadnt  always  been  one  for  confrontation  ,  when  she  was  younger  she  would  have  let  the  women  go.  but  these  days  she  tried  to  stand  up  for  herself  more  since  she  wouldnt  be  taken  seriously  otherwise.  ‘  i  want  my  wallet  back  ,  word  of  advice  you  should  probably  get  better  at  this.  ‘

“I normally am,” Lena rolled her eyes, still holding onto the wallet, “besides, it’s not that big a deal,” She huffed out, admittedly embarrassed that she’d been caught. “You caught me. Congrats? I don’t know what you want me to say,” Lena spoke, clearly getting more and more defensive as she went on.

“Or you can stop trying to steal from people.”  Nile took her wallet back quickly when the girl offered it, softening just a little when she responded. “Thanks, and you’re getting used to not being able to rob anyone you pass?  You should stop.  Some people won’t be so nice about being robbed.”

“I appreciate the pep talk but I don’t need it,” Lena rolled her eyes, frustrated that some people seemed to think this was a choice for her. That she woke up in the morning and just decided to try to steal because it was the only way for her to make ends meet. “Yeah, no kidding,” Lena sighed out, “But, respectfully, it’s not as simple as that. But I gave you the wallet back. I don’t owe you an explanation for why I can’t stop doing it,” She huffed out, not realizing that that wasn’t necessarily what Nile had been saying.

“sherlock  holmes,  consulting  detective.  i’m  employed  when  the  people  who  actually  work  for  the  police  don’t  know  what  they’re  doing…which  is  always.”  sherlock  huffed,  rolling  his  eyes.  he  had  so  much  to  do  on  this  case,  the  more  socializing  he  had  to  do  the  more  time  was  wasted  finding  the  killer.  “now,  the  file  please.  you  took  it  before  i  had  a  chance  to  read  the  details.”

“Hm,” JJ nodded, “Well at least we can agree on that,” She sighed out, referring of course to the police not knowing what they were doing. Shaking her head as if to rid herself of the thought, JJ crossed her arms over her chest tightly, still grasping the file. She could, admittedly, be a little too stubborn at times, this being one of those times. “And I’m sorry but that’s not my problem,” JJ raised her eyebrows, “My work is just as important as yours,”

Kazi knew the streets, he’d spent enough time with other criminals to know when someone got too close to him for a dodgy reason. “You can tell me what you really want.” Carefully, he checked his wrist for his watch and then his pocket for his wallet and sighed. “Give it back and we won’t have a problem.” Kazi didn’t really care if she robbed others, he just didn’t intend on being a victim himself.

“Well,” Lena started slowly, “If you know that I took your wallet it would stand to reason that you should know what I really want is probably what’s in it,” Raising her eyebrows, Lena did take a small step away, realizing that she may be pushing her luck slightly. “Here,” she sighed out after a long moment, tossing the wallet back to him. “See? No problem here,”

This part of Sydney was only twenty minutes from Bondi, but it felt like a world away. Sky fit in perfectly though, just as at home in his suit as he was on the beaches. But he had time to waste before his meeting at the bank, finalising his loans to buy his hotel, so he’d been wandering when he noticed a book on the ground. Picking it up, he barely had time to notice the cover before someone was speaking. “Oh. Here you go.” Sky flashed a grin at the young woman as he passed it over. “Guess today’s your lucky day, finding it again so easily.”

“Oh my goodness,” Marley gasped, beyond relieved that he would hand it back over so easily, “Thank you so much,” she nodded. “Yeah, no kidding,” Marley let out a small laugh, “My lucky days are few and far between these days so...sorry, weird thing to say to a complete stranger,” she shook her head, only mildly embarrassed. “Seriously. Thank you so much. Can I do anything to repay you?”

.｡.:*☆ “And you are sure we are going to find a hidden treasure here?” Louie was not against adventures. In fact, he did love them. And the fact that he’d turned human had not changed much about that, either. 

However, Loui would not be Louie, if he would not be aiming for some sort of prize. Something he would not have to share with his siblings, for once.

“What does the map say? Which way do we have to go?”

“I’m sure about absolutely everything,” Lena blatantly lied. She had realized that being here she’d lost touch with her adventurous side, and there was no time like the present to try to go on a little journey. “Uhhh,” Lena thought for a moment, looking down at the map, “I guess this way?” She shrugged before continuing on, “And you promise we’re going to split it 50/50, right?” She raised a skeptical eyebrow.

.｡.:*☆ “Well…” Olaf usually had no problem talking about people he’d met. But then, he’d also never had developed a crush on someone before.

“His name is Albus,” He then said, kicking some small stones along as they walked. “We have been watching the clouds together, and ate ice cream, and….” For a moment, Olaf pondered. “I am not sure if he is a friend? Like, I do really like him, just….. in a different way, maybe. Does that make any sense?”

Koda, for once in his life, actually stopped and listened intently to what was being said to him. “Albus, huh?” Koda paused for a moment, thinking the name over him. “Never heard of him! What’s he like?” Koda couldn’t help but ask. “I’m gonna be honest, that makes absolutely no sense to me,” He shook his head, but laughed, as Koda had never had those kind of feelings for anyone. “But if you’re happy, then I’m happy!”

The demigod had just picked up his journal, one that detailed everything in the damned casino that he found himself in. For literal years, if he could even believe that. And he was just making sure that there wasn’t any dirt stains on it, before he was getting ready to head off to a café for some coffee, before he needed to be at work. A frown crossed his lips when he heard someone trying to talk with him, and turned around on his heels with a brow raised. “I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure it’s mine. Unless, you too have experienced what it was like to be stuck in a cursed casino where time gets away from you. To the point where the next thing you know, you’re waking up in Sydney years in the past? Because that is exactly what this journal has inside.”

“Huh?” Was all Marley had thought to say, trying to take a moment and process exactly what was being sad to her. “Um,” she started slowly, “I’m sorry, I just lost my journal so I guess I thought t was mine...” she trailed off for a moment. “A cursed casino isn’t exactly, um, something I can relate to,” She laughed nervously, hoping that he could understand or appreciate how confused she was, “But the whole waking up in Sydney years past... is, well, it sounds a little familiar,” she shook her head. “I’m very sorry for wasting your time, though,”
