This story was created to explore the characters of Caine and Kinger, because I desperately need more interactions between them!!
I’m tagging this as an “AU,” but I’m not really changing anything in the story. The events of the comic are a direct continuation of Episode 8. However, I dislike the popular fanfiction trope of: “We stripped Caine of his powers (and therefore his basic need to create), so now we can rehabilitate him into someone more convenient for us.” There will be no psychotherapy or “fixing” Caine here — he will return in all his grandeur, with his own opinion about everything that happened. His relationships with the players will never be equal, and Kinger will have to finally do something about that!
