I think your busses at bare minimum need to run every 15 minutes if you want to claim that public transit is a viable option in your city.

Living near a 10-15 minute express bus means I don’t need to check schedules. I can just go. 15 minutes of waiting is a tolerable amount of time to plan for. Any more than that and you’ve gotta actively check schedules, potentially get to your thing like half an hour early. It’s annoying to the point where it starts eating up precious minutes of your day you could be spending eating a bagel.

It should do all those things and also run every 10 minutes. I’m upping my demands by 5 minutes because you suggested this. Every 30 minutes is what trains between nearby cities should have. If you think every 30 minutes is reasonable you either haven’t lived this reality or you’ve been so starved for decent transit that you’re willing to lower your standards way way below what they should be. What do I pay taxes for, dammit?
