I'm very normal about Gaston

THIS WAS ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO BE JUST A JOKE DRAWING 💔 but it’s based off of a scene from the SIXTH chapter of my fic (which…isn’t done yet)

this is the more comedic version of the piece, AND it better fits my original vision :’)

been sitting on this drawing for a hot minute, so i arbitrarily decided to post it today!!!! just two best friends!!!!!! and only that!!! (this version of them was actually inspired by the batb book “the beast within”…I’ve been meaning to write a fic related to it)

also, here’s the version without the shadow obstructing their faces!!! I worked hard to draw those…

not necessarily related to anything specific, but this is meant to be set in my batb au! which is kind of obvious from gaston’s outfit…

Gaston attempts to charm Belle by pretending to recognize what she’s reading, but never had an intention on engaging with it. I actually do like this, subtler approach to Gaston— I mentioned before how even in the animated he’s more layered than let on. Here there’s a strange almost kindness to engage Belle on a book… even if he was just pretending, he knows slightly more about her… even if it’s just to use to try and woo her. The sad part is there is a bit of genuine excitement from Belle, where just for a second she believed he had, or had changed. Their relationship across media is so interesting. (Post coming in him later)

I made this Gaston wallpaper because I recently made an Astarion Ancunín one as a gift for my friend [here], and I fell in love with the backdrop, filters, and effects I used. Since Gaston is one of my personal favorite fictional crushes, I figured… why not make a wallpaper for him too? 😏
