yes but in a totally no-homo kind of way

everyone is like "so crazy that dean and cas imprinted on each other so fast like by episode 2 they were already in love and trusting each other implicitly" and like yeah, insane shit for the cw to put on our screens, but also would you not also imprint on the first being who ever saw you for who you are and not as an extension of your family legacy? would you not also fall in love with the first person in all your life to acknowledge the burden you carry and to put a world of care and understanding into the mere speaking of your name? would you not, had you been seen as a pawn and soldier your whole life, cling onto to the only person to say "i'm sorry you have to deal with this" and "you are strong enough to break out and break the cycle"? is it so unthinkable?

i am talking about both dean and cas here btw. cas saw dean but dean also saw cas. he gave him a nickname instantly. he trusted him to make the right choice even if it meant going against heaven. dean saw cas as a caring individual stuck with the same kind of pressure that he was under from his family and said, we can break out together
