Gamora Titan

Clara chuckled. “If I could stop myself from ageing I would, I just don’t want to be old, wrinkly, and alone.”

“I can deal with the old and alone bit provided I don’t get wrinkles.” Gamora joked before giving a little shrug of her shoulders. “But I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You’re pretty much still a kid. Plenty of time to go.”

“What’s your line of work exactly?” Lily asked. “Though I’m reassured that this wasn’t a bad thing…”

“I’m a private investigator.” Gamora cleared up. “Mm... I might have low standards though given I work with Rider.”

“I want to say thank you, but something tells me it’s not something I should be thanking you for. Is this- me proving you wrong a bad thing, good thing? I’m unclear.”

“Well,” Gamora began, folding her arms lightly across her chest. “If you have to ask that, you already know the answer.” She explained, raising an eyebrow. Sometimes she felt like she was surrounded by idiots, at least this one was sweet however.

“Okay I know it looks like a lot– but once photographed it’s really not as flashy as it seems,” Katy tried to assure the other as she put a few more pins in the bodice. “I mean it’s not for you so obviously it doesn’t really matter if you like it or not but– do you like it? I saw this fabric and I thought that it just had to be turned into a dress.”

Gamora looked a little sceptical at that, pursing her lips as she tried to think of how to word her answer. She didn’t want to insult the other girl but this was... “Well, it’s not my taste but you already knew that. The cut is nice and it fits well.” She attempted with a bit of a shrug. 

“Are you judging my fashion sense?” Beetlejuice gasped and placed a delicate hand to his chest overdramically. “How dare you disrespect my favorite outfit. Name one other person that can pull off a striped suit like this, I dare you.”

“Can you blame me. You look like a wardrobe threw up the Halloween costumes on you.” Gamora put it quite bluntly. “And  no one can pull of a striped suit like that which is why they reserve stripes that wide for movies about prisoners, crosswalks and candy canes.” 

“Thank you,” Cora beamed, not wondering at all if the other was sarcastic. ”It’s a bit big, but I think it’s lovely anyway.”

“I’d say.” She uttered, not quite under her breath. If it wasn’t a big calling sign saying ‘Look at me’ Gamora didn’t know what it was. “But I guess as long as you’re happy with it...”

Hearing that she was being addressed, Sharpay turned her head with a wide-eyed blink. “Hmm? I don’t see anything bizarre about this,” she shrugged lightly at the woman. Sharpay had been feeding her Yorkshire pup with a fork as it sat on several pillows places on the chair beside her. “Do you not have a pet? I feel like you’d understand if you had a pet.”

“Of course you don’t.” Why was there always one person who just wasn’t even slightly on the same planet as the rest of humankind. Gamora couldn’t help but look at the girl in disbelief. “I feel sorry for that dog but no, I don’t and if I did I still wouldn’t understand your disturbing behaviour.”

“Look at them though, don’t you want to be in love like that when you’re the old?” Clara said leaning on the arm of the bench. “I hope I’m that happy one day.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about; I don’t plan on ageing.” Gamora answered with a smirk but truth be told, she couldn’t see herself ever having something like that; blame it on her twisted upbringing. When she thought of her future... it was a little monotonous but there was no one really beside her.

Lily quirked a brow at the girl, crossing her arms. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I am saying that I’ve seen a lot before in my line of work but I never fail to be surprised on occasion. At least it wasn’t a bad thing. Usually the surprises are shockingly bad but that might say more about who I spend the core amount of my time around.”

“I like keeping people on their toes,” she admitted with a shrug. “Do you have any hidden talents?”

“My hidden talents aren’t really ones you want to discover.” Gamora was quick to tell the woman, because they tended to be reserved for the idiots of the world.
