Flyer, 1924 - The first open-air opera performance took place at the Hohe Warte Sports Ground in Vienna; a "parquet amphitheater" was created for the occasion, seating 17,000 and offering standing space for 8,000. The opera performed was "Aida," with an exceptional cast: Antonio Righetti (the King), Maria Gay-Zenatello (Amneris), Tina Poli-Randaccio (Aida), Giovanni Zenatello (Radames), Nino Marotta (Ramfis), and Domenico Viglione-Borghese (Amonasro), under the direction of Pietro Mascagni.
